I had Bikini Red on cassette back in '87 and I played the living SH*T out of it 'til the tape broke. Now you can't find it on CD except on ebay where the few sellers there are want 50 bucks for it. SUCKS!!!
I was just on the road and, for some reason, started thinking about this band for the first time in years (it's great driving music, so maybe that's why). I listened to them a lot in college.
I had this album on vinyl but either lost it, gave it away, or stupidly sold it when moving once. I loved Gun Shy, too. It was really cool to be able to hear all their stuff on YouTube again. So thanks for posting it! Sadly, they are not in the iTunes store: I will have to track down the CDs.
these guys influenced the pixies man ,, fucking great band ,,, fucking awesome ,, follow this u2 and oasis ,, light weight turds, you just cant cut it at this level ,,,
You would've had to see these guys live to witness the awesomeness. Someone mentioned seeing Hendrix live and he puts the SBM right up there with Jimi. I don't think it's an exaggeration. Electrifying
Craziest fucking show I ever witnessed. Bill Carter is the real deal... The bastard offspring of Gene Vincent, Charles Bukowski, Satan... I spent most of the night convinced he was going to hurt most of us/lol. Badass then and even better now. You are a bad, bad man for posting this. Cheers!
good stuff.... had to search wiki for them.. couldn't remeber the name of the band or the songs. so i searched "1989 the year in music" it brought a up list... ;)
Hey, I was at that gig - totally amazing! Me and my brother were spitting water at each other at the bar until I stept backwards and my bro gobbed water all the woman beside me! It still makes me snigger 20 years on! Awesome band
this is where the pixies sprang from,,,

I got to interview Chris Thompson recently and he's an awesome guy. Go check it out at Consequence Of Sound.

Great track, fantastic record, so hard to find ... anyone know where you can download this brilliant album from?

Heh, that's about all I understand from him. I assume you can download it from Lime Wire or something, but I'll upload the whole album on Youtube.
