  • How much did it cost to convert the bus like the veggie oil engine, the bus and eletrical work? Also truly brilliant.

  • @Mhm5213 About 27 grand. But I also rebuilt the engine and had about 9 different versions of the veggie conversion on it. Also had to replace the rear end.

    Cheers!

  • Nice! but the bedroom needs re-modeling,, really nice work indeed!!!

  • innovative!!! to say the least

  • hey kid want some candy

  • Where's the toilet ?

  • Beautiful! Thank you for sharing this..

  • Wc ?

  • why is it called the veggie conversion?

  • @lisa5boys Because it runs on veggie oil.

  • @VeggiePower303 that is so cool :) Hubby wants to do that!! He wants to run it on oil from the fish n chips shops as we travel around australia. Was it hard to convert over?

  • @lisa5boys Yes

  • Don't take a shower underneath someone second story window! :-)

  • You are a genius, I wish I had one, but living in NJ would have no where to park it.

  • @jasontrucker007 That is how most people get stuck at the first obstacle.

I would have nowhere to park it, I wouldn't know how to build this and that, I wouldn't, I couldn't, I haven't got this or that..... Blah, blah, blah.

    I have heard it all.

Anything you want to achieve in life, you will have to do some problem solving.

But people just wait for the fried pigeon to fly into their mouth.

And if it doesn't happen than they complain that life is a bitch.

    Cheers!

  • @VeggiePower303 you are 100% right, I guess we get used to being slaves, but this video is very inspiring to me...

  • That rocks, I wanna get a van so i can do my own project when I move out of this apartment.

  • Very elegant. Personally I's shorten the couch up front to allow cab access w/o climbing over the other sofa.

  • @Begbucks I never climbed over the sofa, I go out the rear door and in at the front door.

It is like having the whole world being your hallway. :) Or the whole wold is living in your hallway. ;)

  • @VeggiePower303 Quite a setup in any case.

  • @VeggiePower303

    Cost?

  • @wiigamer136 I sold it two years ago. $27000.

    Cheers!

  • @VeggiePower303

Ah. That is a good price for such a awesome place to live! I want to do something like that after I finish college!

  • That is absolutely stunning. If you hadnt pointed out that it was a bus there's a good chance I wouldn't have even known. I wish I had the skill to take a bus and turn it into something as beautiful as that.

  • @mydeadsea Why do you assume that you don't have the skills?

And how do you get the skills except by doing it?

So what, if you make some mistakes along the way?

    So have I.

That is part of the learning process.

I assume I can do anything and therefore I can.

    Cheers!

  • @VeggiePower303

I like your attitude:) You're right, You can't learn anything without doing it.

  • This is ingenious!!! Have you a partner??? Do you travel?? redmahmaa

Do you have room for food storage?? NO!!!! Don't go back!!!! When SHTF-it's gonna be bad all over.redmahmaa at yoohoo.com would love to hear from u. r

  • wish Indonesia got this kind of bus! Damn... i like this bus so much!! thanks 4 posting. incredible...

  • Well said my friend. :-)

  • Beautiful

  • REAL NICE BUS, how much did you sell for?...if it's still for sale how much or you asking for it?

How much does it cost to get the bus to run on veggie fuel?

I"m thinking about buying a cheap diesel and doing this.

  • @thedaytripper3330

I sold the bus for $27000.

To convert it to run on veggie cost me about $2500 And two months of labor.

Do a cost estimate before you get into a big project like this.

I have seen too many people give up half way.

Also, be careful what you buy because old buses always have hidden problems and it cost a lot to fix anything.

  • I wouldn't mind living in that.

  • holy overloaded outlets in the bedroom, veggiepowerman!!!

  • Is that the only thing you have noticed?

Those are X10 remote-control modules, nothing is overloaded.

  • I think that your shower could be classed as ilegal as I don't thing public nudity is alowed

  • Actually nudity is natural.

If God wanted us to wear clothing, we would have been born with them...

Humans only started to wear clothes after the Devil has deceived them into thinking that they know something.

    This knowing something continuous today.

You can just see all the comments on YouTube.

Everyone is sooo sure about their opinion being the only possible explanation of everything.

Clothing is there to cover up the ugliness that would only show how fare you have strayed from God.

  • For your safety, the batteries need to be in a box that vents directly to the outside of the bus. The gasses that batteries give off can make you a dead person. Nobody wants that!!!! Nice job on the rest of the bus. Thanks for sharing with us.

  • may i ask where you got the skylights?

  • @skarp33

The skylights came with the bus.

It used to be a Yosemite bus in the '80s.

It was made for tourists riding around in open view of the sky and mountains.

In the summertime they even used to take the windows out.

They only made about 25 of them.

This one is the only one on the road today.

    Cheers!

  • cool

  • Wow!

  • I love that you did this all yourself. I don't want to buy it though.

  • @asiaskitten

    Thanks for your comment.

I sold this bus the same day I listed it on the grease-car website.

    $27000

    Cheers

  • 707? are you in vallejo? and where do you park that thing? cops ever mess with you?... sorry those were a lot of questions

  • Brilliant! I LOVE IT!!!!!

  • On the plus side, if there is a national disaster, you have your own private land yacht. No need to fuel up on gasoline, just veggie oil. While people are living in tent citys, your living in lavish luxury. This is a nice ride.

  • Hi, Can you put one of these engines in my 1987 Toyota FJ60 Landcruiser?

  • pull a trailer with washing machine and storage room

  • VERY nice -- But a little overkill on some of the amenities and furnishings, like the $2K cabinet. Great idea re: skylight insulated panels to block the infrared/UV heat gain. Where in heck do you get free veggie oil? Then you have to purify and strain & modify it? Hey, why don't you ship yer bus to Russia and drive it to Hungary? What a trip THAT would be! Take a coupla years to do it, if you feel like it. I'm a big Trance fan meself. Esp. Richard Burmer, Eno. Good Luck in all things, Mate!

  • Where to get veggie oil for free? Seriously? Lol - Restaurants give it away for free.

  • @RedneckZ284 most will because usually they have to pay someone to haul it off so when you have someone who doesn't want to charge you to take care of it then usually they will gladly let you have it.

  • Indeed, very true. The person who made this video and lives in this is very lucky to have no bills and what not but we all have the option. It's just a matter of taking the option.

  • Can I ask how much was the cost of replacing

    the engine?Very interesting project.

  • $2000 for a partially rebuilt engine.

Plus two weeks of my labor.

  • nice.I like the stove.

  • Wait wheres the toilet?

  • There is no toilet

  • Hey Z it's me Randy with the grummann bus in Davis. First time seeing your bus looks great! How do you get away with all the ac power being used? I also like the round table area looks quite useable. Later buddy!

  • where did you get the stove/ pantry combo??

  • y did you pay so much. you could of got a school bus for cheaper like 4000-10000

  • @cwright07 -- Righto, I have a shorty Bluebird flatnose w Cummins 6.9 & Allison 4 speed, left the whole space open, has a woodstove, homemade wood table, 2 ceiling-height 4 ft metal shelves, Sally Ann 9-drawer narrow, long cabinet ($11), leather web-bottom-n-back recliner ($14), Coleman 2-burner stove, 12 volt lights, hurricane lamp, linoleum floor -- very basic & rustic-ambiant, like a 200 square foot cabin. Storage boxes for wood & water. Bicycle-pump water system. All told, about $5500 in it.

  • I got $35000 in it plus 2 years of labor.

    Thanks

  • you should put a cabinet around the fridge with extra storage above it. would help secure it and make it look all built in.

how much all told do you have into this rig?
