  • okay can sombody tell me is this greek or burlgian ?? cz i wanna know this is a greek movie so shouldnt this be a greek song ?? :-

  • @whoztherockstar its an american movie about greece. About the song i really dont know why people is saying that is bulgarian . Tyler Bates is american , and he composed this song.

  • @Willyshow7 ohh okay thank you :D

  • @Willyshow7 There is missunderstanding about it, cuz americans don't understand a shit of ancient europe history. Read some books about theese ancient battles like Omir poems and then watch the AMERICAN movies about it and you will see what i mean. The movie is american, the history is greek and the song is BULGARIAN

  • @whoztherockstar It's a bulgarina song m8, and the original name of the song is "Зайди, зайди ясно слънце"

  • it's simply beautiful....

  • This was always really sad to me

  • one of the best soundtracks in my opinion.

  • @PkingWithPride indeed

  • this song just kills you when you thinking something bad that you do :')

  • Your vid went viral on Naypyidaw

  • no pain no mercy thats how they were raised and bread

  • @MrMobbydick12 mmm bread... lol

  • "remember us. as simple an order as a king can give...remember why we died."

  • beautiful brings tear to my eyes ...

  • This is Bulgarian national song written in 16th century!

    This is the original song..

Cvetelina Grahich - Zaidi, zaidi, yasno slynce

  • I dont about the song , yes maybe its bulgarian because skopians have nothing ... I see its indeed Bulgarian and its beautiful... Macedonia is ONE AND ONLY AND ITS GREEK AND SKOPIA has nothing to do about it ... ! Skopia is a country with no culture ...steals from everyone their culture , yea Napoleon was Skopian too , Ceasar , even the Chinese emperor is Skopian and ofcourse Obama ! As much these guys are Skopians so do Macedonia is ! Read some history ! Skopians burn your fucking books !!

  • FUCK ALL OF YOU, IT DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER WHO'S SONG IT IS. STOP ACTING LIKE KIDS

  • MyQueen, My woman

  • Why don't you motherfuckers call it a balkanic song?

Your motherfucking neighbour countries WTF is your problem, Why hate?

When a bulgarian see a little macedonian child on the floor hes gonna help him

As a macedonian helps an old man when he needs 2

Fucking respect each others your all bitches - Turkey

  • Again and Again Other countreys use our bulgarian song for they`r films And makedonians say its theyr song but is from the most beautiful country in the world BULGARIA

  • I Truly wish I was born in different times. And I Mean this with all my heart, I Truly do

  • This song is based on the Bulgarian song "Zaidi, Zaidi, yasno slance", the composer Tylet Bates said it himself. Some Macedonian people may claim it is Macedonan song but it is NOT. The lyrics are written and published by Bulgarian author Liuben Karavelov in 1878. So it IS Bulgarian song.

  • Зајди зајди јасно сонце.

  • Your video is a favorite on Prague

  • the singer is azam ali and she is Iranian..

  • It's Bulgaro-Greeko-Macedonian song...Argue if you want,I don't care,I love the song.

  • Greek, Macedonian, same fucking thing shutup and enjoy the music.

  • from whole movie only this song worth it

  • Face it.. Spartans got there asses handed to. Look it up in the history books lol. This movie was cool though.

  • Tyler Batess hould it be forbidden to make music for films and generally for any kind of music. This is shame for all producers and creators of this movie, stolen music to be part of such a big project. They have to pay millions of punishment.....

  • why everyime i see the comments of this vid i see wannabe macedonians who dont have a clue of history?=.=....excellent song and i dont care where its from.

  • @N3thir He took only the part of the Aleksandar Sarievski's song ''Zajdi, zajdi''. It's ok I think.... Don't hate Macedonians because they feel offended they really got the most beautiful songs on Balkan and they are very proud of it, with reason.

  • Comment removed

  • @N3thir Sorry, but I do know a lot about them and their music and I speak the language too. The fact is that this is the part of the song ''Zajdi, zajdi'' and the author didn't deny it, too...you can check it yourself. And I don't take this borrowing personally ... to me it sounds ok as to you... I just wanted to say that Macedonian music is very beautiful among all these bad things people say here... Nothing else.. Keep enjoying the music...Cheers

  • @N3thir yes..but some people say it's bulgarian song

  • @viktor4036 macedonia=bulgaria, your argument i invalid

  • @Icasylyss fuck off .!.

  • @viktor4036 u mad, serbo-makedonyan, or you prefer fyromian????!?!?

  • No matter if its Bulgarian or Macedonian. It is piece of music that all of us should enjoy no matter what is our nationality

  • Comment removed

  • i love this *_* so emotial <33

  • Comment removed

  • OMG YeS its MACEDONIAN, but that means that is BULGARIAN. Are all the macedonian brothers brainwashed :D ?

  • hahaha this guy who said this is a macedonian song, not bulgarian.. is both right and wrong.. it is a macedonian song, which means it is bulgarian lol punk

  • Its pretty amazing how much nationalism is sparked by this song. Enjoy the music, regardless of its origin. And recognize that all cultures have contributed greatly to the musical artform.

  • @ralphyboy25 I agree...and too, the beautiful Iranian who so artfully sings it

  • Zajdi, zajdi, jasno sonce is composed by Aleksandar Sarievsk, but this is modern version. It's originaly bulgarian. The melody is really old (16-17 century). Before the Liberation of Bulgaria. And the original poems are written by Karavelov.

  • I know a lot of macedonians hold a generations grudge against Bulgaria coz your elders thought we abandoned you but in truth it wasn't our say in the matter. The Major European Countries (Germany, England, France) didn't want a big united slavic country on the Balkans fearing of the influence Russia might have on it. So when it comes to politics we rarely have a say. The strong lay they're judgment as they see fit.

  • Let's end the dispute and just call it a balkan song and be done with it. I'm bulgarian and I'm just sad that instead of cherish and respect our past we destroy it by claming right over it. It saddens me that there are so many of my brothers and sisters in Macedonia denying theyr origin. We wrote Europes history. Back in ancient times there were only 3 great empires-The Francish in Western/Central Europe, Byzantium and Bulgaria (including Macedonia in that territory). Respect you heritage!

  • Balkan music is most beautiful

  • powerfull, puts you to do make heroic things

  • Does anybody else give a crap about whether it's a Bulgarian song or whatever? Nah, me neither. I just think this track is beautiful.

  • this is a bulgarian folklore song, which was popular in the 18 -19 century when bulgaria was part of the Osman`s empire and when the bulgarian people tried to get their freedom back ..... Aleksandar Sarievski is from Macedonia and wrote only the contemporary version (arrangement) of the original song :)

  • @kikelota

give me some proof and fact that these words that you are saying are true. This song is recorded in studio from Aleksandar Sarievski. If you have any bulgarian singer that have recorded this before Aleksandar pls post it. Thil the quit this stealing of our folklore.

  • @bojandespot it`s a bit difficult for me because in the 18th century there were no records

  • This is old Macedonian song performed by Aleksandar Sarievski called "Zajdi, Zajdi"

    /watch?v=O6zrlPI5DPk

    and this

    /watch?v=LKRaXPYSzKY

  • Why don't you all just STFU and enjoy this beautiful song!

  • @meskalin01 It is clearly that you don't understand, and since you suggested googling it,yes google it and you will find the letter that Tyler Bates wrote, you will also find the true origin of this song :)

P.S. While we are on the subject of Bulgaria and "Macedonia" you better learn some history, not the bullsh1t they feed you in your schools ... like it or not you are bulgarians!

  • @mi60bg Zajdi, zajdi, jasno sonce (O Set, O Set, Clear Sun; Macedonian: Зајди, зајди, јасно сонце) is a Macedonian-language folk-style song written and composed by Aleksandar Sarievsk---this is from wikipedia not like you say ''the bullsh1t they feed you in your schools'' I google it again and could not find anything that connects this song with anything bulgarian. I'm sorry :(

  • @meskalin01 If u expect wikipedia to be reliable source ... :D Okay (y)

  • @mi60bg P.S. While we are on the subject of Bulgaria and Macedonia you better learn some history, not the bullsh1t they feed you in your schools ... like it or not I'm Macedonian

P.P.S. I'm not gonna bother with you anymore

  • @meskalin01 don't bother with me or with bulgarian texbooks or even macedonian textbooks bother reading actual books written from people living in these lands 100,200,300,400, a thousand years ago

  • @meskalin01 bulgarians take claim to everything

  • @meskalin01 when did greece write this song ? i don't remember. oh wait a minute, you mean scopjans wrote this song.

  • @manutd7ify No one said it's greek song leave them out of this they have bills to pay read what is written!

And you are one of the rear people with ignorant syndrome that admits that this is not a Bulgarian song but Macedonian. Thank you for understanding.

  • @meskalin01 no no no that's not the point here. i dont care about the song. i saw ''MACEDONIAN'' and i got angry. stop being called ''Macedonians''. For God's name this is not funny anymore.

  • @manutd7ify hey... you are greek, I know what's your point. We were called Macedonians since I know. When we were part of Yugoslavia we were Macedonians why it didn't bother you then? Now when you are broke everything bothers you everything makes you angry

  • @meskalin01 ok then, and we were called athenians since i know. do you know Aristotle was speaking greek philip the second was speaking greek. The son of Philip, Alexander, a pupil of Aristotle, commander of the Alliance of Corinth, the head of the Greeks except the Lacedaemonians conquered Asia and spread the Greek language and Greek culture in most of the known world. The Macedonians spread the Greek language and Greek culture, not a Slavic dialect or a Slavic culture.

  • @manutd7ify there is NO FIROM NO Greek macedonia NO Bulgarian Macedonia there is only ONE Macedonia that was devided on 10 August 1913 with The Treaty of Bucharest. You have more future than past so you should look ahead. the past is buried for a reason. And I'm not gonna be your aristotel anymore.

  • The capitals of the macedonian kingdom initially Eges (modern Vergina) and Pella later, are within the Greek state, like all ancient Macedonian cities. None is within FYROM. The city took its name from the sister of Alexander the Great, and she was not called "Soloun '...For the Slavs the name Alexander means nothing. For the Greeks mean HIM TO PROTECT THEM FROM ENEMIES .

  • @meskalin01 do you want more to talk about history ? opan some history books and stop beleiving those stupid and ignorant of history americans. AMERICANS ? what do they know about history ? for GOD' s name i can't continue this conversation anymore

  • @manutd7ify kai egw milaw Elliniki omos den eimai Elinikos. Nai? you speack English and I see u r fan of man utd but u r not British.Helenistic culture had influence (alphabet, religion, logies, etc) u only talk about Aleksandar he dosen't belong only to Macedonia he belongs to the world(and that includes you) I upload two videos so u can check them out only people from Athen were called Athenians there was NO Greek state then, every helenic city was state, Macedonia was kingdom since the birth.

  • @meskalin01 The Wikipedia article is bullshit! The song is written in 1878 by Lyuben Karavelov in Veliko Tarnovo. Therefore IT IS BULGARIAN! @mariofreak444 Yeah, maybe we stole your language too? Oh wait, our language existent hundreds of years before you country was ever made! Or is it a coincidence your language is almost the same as ours? I couldn't care less where you came from, just stop stealing our stuff!

  • @avara90 With 491 characters I can not teach you linguistics but I can advise you: Take your head out of your ass and you'll see that on the Balkan all the languages are similar. Google Macedonia and you'll see when my kingdom was made.oh I forgot wikipedia as well as google are bullshit for you, you have your history books. But you can also read the Bible and learn smth about Macedonia oh my bad again you have your history books.Watch Discovery oh... once again you have your history books :)))

  • @meskalin01 LOL you're so full of shit!

Straight from your precious Wikipedia: "The official and most widely spoken language is Macedonian, which belongs to the Eastern branch of the South Slavic language group. Macedonian is closely related to and mutually intelligible with Standard Bulgarian." So, you're telling me all the Balkan languages are like that? Trust me, I know when your "kingdom" was made. Like I said - I don't care! Just stop telling people this song is Macedonian! It's Bulgarian!

  • yes avara90 yes. Much more similar then Mkd and Bg---Serbo-Croatian generally goes by the ethnic names Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin.[5] All four standards are based on the same dialect.--- Did you took my advice??? until then please don't bother me

  • @meskalin01 Zajdi, zajdi jasno sonce was written by Sarijevski but it is based on Cernei goro, cernei sestro by Lyuben Karavelov. Lyuben Karavelov is a Bulgarian revolutionary. Therefore, you cannot claim that the song is purely macedonian. And that is what wikipedia says. End of the argument.

  • @Anstraxe lyben Karalavov? what wikipedia are u reading? abe i kompjuterot vie go izmislivte i China vie ja izmislivte si4ko e made in bulgaria oba4e i ovaj e bugarski pa zemi pikni si go v usta i neka ti kisni mocko eden ti ke mi kazuvas mene so e Makedonsko a so Bugarsko

  • @meskalin01 I do not talk with undercultured and undereducated UNTERMENSCH like yourself. Be macedonian and let the whole world laugh at you. Bye bye!

  • @meskalin01 Let me clear this up to you and your 14 "likers" - Google IS NOT the Ultimate Truth, Wikipedia IS NOT the Ultimate Truth, Youtube IS NOT the Ultimate truth. Leave your PC even for an hour or so and go to the library for godness' sake. The world IS NOT on the web ONLY. peace.

  • The world will know that free men stood against a tyrant, that few stood against many, and before this battle was over, even a god-king can bleed

  • Listening makes u feel, almost other worldly, Do you almost feel sorrow when listening to this song???

  • @SmokeBig123 yes

  • even if you write 100 time, this song will never become bulgarian!

for those who can read, i recommend wikipedia and the key word Zajdi, Zajdi on youtube! case closed!

  • If a lot of countrys doesnt know where Bulgaria is on a map does this make it ight to steal for profit?! NO! so go learn some history and if you want to live in a society thats right , have some respect!

  • MojaSnimka : Macedonia is part of BULGARIA yo dumbass!!!! You are bulgarian, even denying it makes it real! Fuck sake....!!! It is about principles and how all the world walks over Bulgaria, it is about humans, yes but when something isnt fair people should not be quete about it!!!!! MACEDONIA IS PART OF BULGARIA!!! End of discussion!

  • @DobromirParaskov

Hey as a Greek, i dont care if you say FYROM is part of Bulgaria! But itd called FYROM and its not Macedonia! They are trying to steal our history and you say they stole part of Bulgaria! The why the fuck dont we attack them, eliminate them from the face of the earth, you take the land we stop them from raping Greek history?

  • To the uploader - thank you - the song registered with me during the movie as intense and emotional; the singer sounds suspiciously like Azam Ali - who is neither Greek, Bulgarian, nor Macedonian. Who is the singer? Beautiful song WHEREVER it came from.

  • @engel27 NO! THERE'S A INTERNATIONAL COPYRIGHT LAW, AND IT IS NOT POSSIBLE SOME FIGURES TO ADOPT WHAT EVER THEY WANT, JUST BECAUSE IS GOOD. MADDONA IS AN AMERICAN SINGER, DOES IT MEAN SOMEBODY CAN SAY: NO SHE'S ENGLISH?! THE SONG AND THE MUSIC IS MACEDONIAN ONLY, AND THOSE THIEVES SHOULD SHUT UP WITH THE LIES!

  • THIS IS A MACEDONIAN SONG: ZAJDI ZAJDI JASNO SONCE! NOT GEEK NEITHER BULGARIAN MUSIC!!!!!!!!

  • You stupid greek and bulgarian bustards this is Zajdi, Zajdi traditional old macedonian song... MACEDONIA TIMELESS!

  • Zajdi, zajdi .

  • Can anyone translate this song please!!!!!!!!!!! I need to know Pleaseeeeeeeee..!! Thanks!

  • @Aishiterueienh This song is a derivative of the folksong "Zaidi, zaidi jasno sonce". Take a look at the Uploaders comments at the following YT video

    watch?v=8OLWFjMy3nw

In his comments is a link to a blogspot site that has some background on the original song, and a rough translation.

  • @ralphyboy25 (see what I mean?) Gee, and I just thought how this song conveyed the moment in the movie...

  • @laelamarie1 Yes, it was this song, and 'Goodbye My Love' that stuck with me after watching the movie. Sure the comic book scenary was unique, and the sense of bravado shown through, but in the end, it was the emotion of this singing that (for me) made the movie. And yes, it is Azam Ali. In fact it was because of this particular song, that I learned of all her other great material - solo work, with Vas and Niyaz.

All these cultures - Greek, Bulgarian, Macedonia have great things to offer.

  • @Aishiterueienh go to wikipedia and you have the lyrics there, so you can translate it from Macedonian into English on google translate. :)

  • @MojaSnimka

From bulgarian to english the song is bulgarian from trakia!

  • @shynizzl na majkati pu*kata e bugarska samo.

  • @MojaSnimka

    hahaha saka ti se kopelence!

  • @shynizzl pssss beden bugarin! sestra ti i majka ti ciganki pa i dvete za edno evro. haha

  • @DoubleSwords47

From the beginning of the 19th century, and particularly after the liberation of Greece, the Patriarchate of Constantinople became the principal medium for Greek national propaganda activity in Macedonia. The Patriarch Gregory V, for example, in 1860 and again in 1819 dispatched circular letters to all metropolitan dioceses in Macedonia with the request that they propagate the Greek language, and education item: Graecization of the non-Greek Christian Peoples.

  • @DoubleSwords47

In accordance with this policy it declared the entire Orthodox population of Macedonia to be Greek, regardless of Ethnic origin. This cause, known as the "great idea", had become the banner of Greek expansionism in the Balkans and was expanded to the Greek assembly in 1844 by the Greek Prime minister Koletis. It envisaged the expansion of the Greek state to Constantinople and into Asia Minor (Nikos Svoronos, Episkopisi tis neoelinikis istorias, II, Athens, 1976, 84).

  • that is why we now call it ancient civilizations... it is in the past

  • Macedonian song...

    Greetings from Belgrade.

  • this is a bulgarian song written by Liuben Karavelov.

  • Ok what's that magnificant instrument that plays? I need it!

  • @lefkosiatis

    Kaval ?

  • I'm Turkish

Long live Ancient Greek! Kings of History and Europe...

The real brave fighters are the Greeks.. And fuck yes i'm Turkish..

  • @runescapesupersaiyin no ur a fag, come at me brah

  • I would Go out Spartan style. To defend my law and freedom.

  • I am proud to be half Greek, half Arab <3 great rich cultures

  • THIS IS ALSO OFF THE GUARDIANS OF GAHOLLE

  • This song/ music touches me from heart BUT remember spartans don't have a heart...

  • Beautiful Song

  • This song is brutally stolen from the Bulgarian culture ...

  • You know what? Stop arguing over where this song came from.

Athena herself sang this hersef out of grief after the two hundred and ninety-nine Spartans were killed in the defense of Greece. It wasn't written by man at all, Bulgarian nor Greek nor Macedonian nor Irish. It was written by the gods, which explains how eerily beautiful it is. Humans can't just write songs like this on their own.

  • @ABookwormAndProud I have to say, the music sounds very irish. I don't know about who sings it, reminds me of Enya's songs. Majority of irish songs are very like this, i totally agree with the Spartans, they fought for their land and their liberty the persians raped and killed many woman and children thats why Greece is full of Arabs today! And i feel history is going to repeat it self maybe not now or the next 100 years but it will. The arabs are still at their crap.

  • @JimmyBloggs1 its actually from the balkans. Ad xerxes army was not just arabs. Granted he probably did have Arabs, it was composed of hundred of different cultures. Greeks, armenians, persian, indians, anatolians, and so on. Arabs would have composed of maybe 5% of the army. The spartans didn't die for liberty, but for glory. Liberty is only one part of glory. The battle of plataea was more for liberty then that of thermoplyea. And i highly doubt history will repeat thermoplyea. =)

  • @isaacBrockofthe41 Yes i agree with you but the majority was "asians" But i must disagree on you with history repeating it self, i do generally think it will but not with greece lol whites in gerneral and people are all ready starting to reble, thank you for you imput please pardon my ignorance :)

  • @JimmyBloggs1Don't worry, it just sounded little racist towards arabs. Greece should not rebel, the government is actually right for once. The people that should be angry are the americans towards the government screwing them over.

  • @isaacBrockofthe41 Oh no I'n not racist just where I am the arabs don't like the whites that much, a young white child had a plastic leg and a group of muslims got him and tore it out of his socket just because he didn't believe in Allah, he was only 12 years old. That's what angers me and i thought it was the IMF that screwed Greece over?

  • @JimmyBloggs1 It's not about what the people do..

Its about what the people are told to do...

If you raise your kids well and nice..And your kids become thugs and murders I can't blame you..But the person..

You have good and bad people.

  • @ABookwormAndProud HAhAaaaaaaa that means that in Bulgaria the musicians are gods!!!

  • @ABookwormAndProud Well put.

  • @ABookwormAndProud what is the exact title of it?

  • @ABookwormAndProud in my evolution scale... u are in front of bacteria.... every one is a god for himself... not your case..

  • the movie was a bit lame, but the music is wonderful. They did wonderful musical work :)

  • @FelicityMoep how was it lame it was an amazing movie

  • @balianvonrymer i think the movie isnt just my taste. there are people who like it and those who doesnt. but anyway, they did very well at the soundtracks. but this isnt the only movie with that problem =P
