be very cairfull with the hand hard it sucks balls real bad! if u bump something to hard or just a lil much u will brake the prongs that hold it on the knife at the top of handel iv broke 2 already choping wood and the scrues holding it in wil back out on there own after a doog days work with it so my advive to u is befor u take of on a hike remove the hand gard and posibly the point and u would be goiod to go choping have a nice experience with the knife

@85wifebeater It was not razor sharp out of the box, however it was decently sharp, it could pop a few hairs off and still to this day it cuts through paper very well.
