we gave up on ernie because the guy has great raw talent but no instincts .he was always over persuing plays or taking the wrong gap.he excelled at state because they let him roam.

I'm a Lions fan, but I can't blame him for wanting out of Detroit. The Defense is terrible. One of the worst in the league. They can't keep offenses off the field for shit. The best player on that Lions Defense is Ndamukong Suh and he's a Rookie. Saftey Louis Delmas is a stud and DE Kyle Vanden Bosch is just getting there. The Lions got Dre Bly back which will help in coverage, but he isn't a great tackling DB. The Defense should be better this season, but that remains to be seen.
