I thought that I would have a video of another Standard Custom Madera however it was unfortunately replaced with a Cadet 2. This one was older than the one I had found based on the more decorative base
This was actually called the "Custom Madera". Made during the 1930s and early 1940s, it was a close-coupled version of the regular Madera, intended for high-end residential use and commercial jobs where flushometers could not be used. It appears in a Standard catalog I have from that era.
You could also get the usual Madera in a slightly modified version for use with wall-hung tanks.
The "Trenton" is the plant where it was made- Trenton, New Jersey.
Yes I thought it was interesting to see this sort of bowl on this toilet. I have never seen a bowl that reads Standard Custom Madera before. The tank is a Standard Trenton, so I am not sure if the bowl is a replacement or if was original. Either way, both the bowl and tank are very old.
Old as the movie "The Wizzrd Of Oz!!" Maybe it came from the land of OZ!!! :D I dunno, it might of been a tank conversion or conversion from a flush-valve. Dunno I have never heard of sen niether 'Trenton' OR 'Custom Madera'...But the word 'Custom'? That makes you wonder if it was made for CONVERSIONS or 'Customize your own toilet'?
Amazing!! The only "Standard Custom" I had ever seen was in my home town - It had a different tank, however *almost* the same toilet. I think it may still be in operation (hopefully!)
I think the Trenton in the tank might not be a model name. It might mean it was manufactured in Trenton, NJ.

Sounds very similar to my 1971 Briggs.

Let me know if you come across an old Standard One - Piece toilet from the 1950s because I have not seen one of these toilets in a very long time.

I know exactly where several of those are, but it is a matter of getting there. If I get a chance, I will film them and post!
