@DudeAndHisBass32 hey sorry for the late reply. Stingrays are great for certain styles of music (Funk, Hard Rock, RHCP etc.) but I think a precision bass has a better tone for a pop punk band like blink 182 :)

Howeva, u can see many bands that use Stingray for this genre, like Anti-Flag, MxPx and some others, it gives a more oldschool feeling to the song, the precision sounds just like a base bass, doesn't have its pernsonality... :) That's my pov

@rosssparrow faster doesn't necessarily mean harder. I can name 10 of Travis's songs that are more difficult to play than ben wah balls. No hate to scott, He is one of my favorite all time drummers and he is technically a better drummer and is also a faster drummer (though not by much), he just isn't very creative. Thats what makes travis a better drummer all around. Most professional drummers can replace scott, very few can replace travis.

tom uses a mesa tripple rec and a JCM900 both at the same time (the 900 is out of view in the picture, the marshalls there are only speakers). The 900 is set to a crunchy clean tone, while the mesa is set to the distorted sound. Because hes running a crunchy clean amp at the same time, it gives the distortion alot more of a fatter sound.
