This drink is brilliant. It has a nice bitter aftertaste, and amazingly, you can't really taste any alcohol. And in case anyone is wondering, Cynar is pronounced chee-NAR.
I am pretty sure none of Tom Wait's personae would enjoy a whiskey dronk with anything other than whiskey in it, let alone triple sec and Cynar, whatever that is. I don't think they are readily available on skid row or an insane asylum. Now had you gone with Lysol, I could have suspended my disbelief.
