Most of the pictures and the progress they represent that are dated in the 80s were, I believe, under the Soviets. Certainly, the Russians promoted education and work for women, but at the price of religion. And occupation. The photos from the 60's are interesting. I lived there in the late 70s and it seemed much more primitive then that the pictures from the 60s indicate. What happened from 1960-1975?
Love the video, well done and the content was all true. BUT lets not fool our selves, less than one percent of Afghanistan was living that way. May be 5% of Kabul had this high standard of living. BTW progress is not measured with showing skin, hight of skirt and copying European clothing styles.
