  • This music belongs to everyone Who loves it. Enough with stupid self-destroying nationalism. Nationalism has destroied Europe, and here in 2012 we are still talking nationalistic nonsense! Stop, please!

  • We had 400 years of common history...Lithuanian kings ruled Poland and Polish kings ruled Lithuania..And now Lithuanian quartet plays beautiful Polonaise named "Farewell to the Fatherland". By the way, in 1794, when this music was written, both Lithuanians and Poles said farewell to their common Fatherland. Is it really that important now who was who? Just listen to the music....

  • Farewell to Homeland=Poland.Like me...

  • Oginski was a great Polish composer. Cheers

  • @WilkVreid

btw, Oginski was not polish, but Lithuanian composer :)

Michał Oginski - Polish composer, borned near Warsaw. Moreover this song is Polonaise not 'Lithuanianaise' :)

  • @MIE5OARMATNIE

Yes, Oginskiy dynasty came from Grand Duchy of Lithuania. They were belong to Ortodox Church in 16th. Have a good day.
