Just make sure he knows that a drum fill doesn't have to be super linear and you don't have to hit every single thing on the drum kit while doing one.
Yes he is amazing but can someone that knows this lil man please tell him for me that I (Tony Royster Jr's godfather) said that sense hes mastered the basics, to learn more about ghostnotes, rudiments etc on the snare drum instead of that one hit metronome hit on the snare. When this kid can actually sit all the way up on the seat and reach the pedals, he's going to be a force to be reckoned with. ;)
I've never heard anybody under 16 play linear triplet fills with any sense of confidence, and this little guy does it. Shoot, he's even in the pocket at times - AT 7 YEARS OLD. Wild, man! :D

Great vid, what a talent! I started drumming at 5, and at 28 now- I can only agree w/ jazdrummer1 on the idea of some good isolation phones for him.. trust me tinnitus is no fun...Hope his talents get the support they deserve..
