It's a stage thing. It's like she's made out of fire and adrenaline as soon as she hits the stage. Funny thing is she's calm and sweet as can be off stage(at least from what I've seen footage of, not like I actually know her).

Anyway, no matter what others think, I feel like this song's all but written for Tina. It really suits her style and presence.

I'd say the song works for Tina here because she is is the quintessential theatrical performer. This song has a real sense of Drama. She's clearly channeling her Acid Queen character from The Who's TOMMY.

No this is Bowie. Infact he made it for a film called Cat People (1982), but there are two different versions; The album one and the one for the soundtrack. But he did cover a metro song called Criminal World wich is also on the Lets Dance album.

I know she didn't have her band with her & had to use the brass band behind her & they kept playing too slow sometimes ha. If I find out where it was filmed I'll let you know. All I can remember is it was filmed somewhere in Europe.
