But my explanation is: He quoted Britney because they had the same record company BMG, (that is sarcastic for is self.) So he had a speech like this: Oh I would love to thank our lovely record company BMG, and to our sweet savior Jesus Christ, God bless you, and all that cheesy crap, to fit in mainstream and capitalistic way of entertainment like those awards.

So his intention was, lets have fun with this shit "I would love to thank", but anyone got it, cause no one makes fun with Jesus :D And that about mainstream is not bad at all.
