Honestly it doesnt matter how you have your hands... When your fingers face the ground you're playing french grip, when you're hands are flat you're playing german grip, when they're about half and half you're in american match grip, turn the left hand over and it's american traditional grip, with the reverse it's "Jimmy" grip. You'll play just as fast no matter which way you're holding the sticks if you're good enough ;)
