  • Wow, cool cab ride. Thank you for sharing!

Chuga Chugga, Chuga Chugga, Chuga Chugga, Chuga Chugga, Awesome!

  • how du u get on the cab ride? du u get picked or something? or du u ask

  • @Disneyboy35

you should as a conductor at main street station

  • Great job on the video,,,, I really like your outside of the cab shots...well done. As a videographer and model Train enuthuiest (sp), I really would like to try this next time I am there. I am also in AZ,, N. Glendale area,

  • Indeed, especially the freight train cab ride.

  • cab rides are fun.

  • What a nice little engine, what gauge is that line?

  • Narrow Gauge like the D&RGW

  • how did u get a cab ride????

  • First you go to mainstreet station, if the C.K Holiday #1 or E.P Ripley #2 are out that day ask to ride in the tender seat, if they dont have to fill up with water or blow the steam on that run they normally will let you rider there

  • Arizona, I used to live in Fresno C.A. but now I'm in Phoenix, and I hate it.

  • I live in North Scottsdale and I love it.

  • I want to try this.

  • just returned from the usa. i got a tender ride on the same engine

  • this looks like the easyest train ever to fire the fireman or firewoman does nothing!

  • They do, the fireman or firewoman is responsible for controlling the fire and of course, ring the bell.

  • i didnt mean that i meant thats it a very easy line to fire on in the vid all the fireman or firewoman does it talk and ring the bell she does no work what do ever. where as on the railway that i fire on is 1 in 50 all the way up the line and you need to work hard!

  • Not really. Engines 2 and 5 are the hardest to steam and fire. So you gotta prepare for what ever the Ripley or Kimball throw at you. The 4 will bounce around like crazy every time it goes around a tight bend, but she's a nice engine to fire. Engines 1 and 3 are the easy ones to steam & fire, especially the 3.

  • Next time ride with me!

  • Ok, I'll blow the whistle and ring the bell!!!

  • this video is nice alog with part two and you got very nice informatin we are planning to go to DL in june

  • oops july or august

  • i kinda wish we did cab rides at WDW, but ours are alot louder and it would be harder to talk to some of the guest

  • I've been in bigger engines then that, I wouldn't care! That would be awesome!

  • haha have you gone on our Magic Behind our Steam Trains Tour?

  • No. What makes it magic? Does mickey pull a rabbit out of the stack? haha

  • magic that we get paid to do that!!!

  • You had ward kimballs grandson on that train!!!

  • Comment removed

  • cab rides are in WDL because Walt Disney himself had jumpseats installed so he could ride around the park. He died before WDW was completed so the jumpseats where never installed.

  • here is a video idea to you.

make a in cab video on your railkroad when you have a complete circle with no break

  • oops i meant railroad and not railkroad

  • WOW! You got to ride in the cab! I remember for a while they wern't doing it and they said it was just a jump seat and it got a little oily. I got to ride in the cab too. All you have to do is ask! Great video 5/5.

  • One of the front right driving rod bearings is forming too much clearence which is causing a knocking sound, and also there is a really bad flat spot on one of the tender wheels. The Holliday had her problems fixed, now the Ripley needs hers fixed too.

  • According to a DLRR engineer, the loud clanging you hear is a flat wheel on the tender. The Ripley's rods and brass are fairly good condition, unlike the Holliday's before she got her's fixed.

  • Hmmm, it felt more as if it were on the engine- it was pulling really funny. But I hadn't even thought about the tender.

  • When I was at Disneyland, the sound was coming from the front right driving wheel. With the bearing in good shape, it could be that there is just too much clearence there, and it needs to be tightened. While the tender did sound pretty bad as well.

  • This engine sounds like it's in dire need of maintenance. It sounds like it has a terrible flat spot on the wheels, or a serious warn drive rod problem.

  • Yes I know, the engine needed a new tire badly! That is why the video is all bouncy.

  • oh Durango has k-28s and k-36s not k-26s like you say by mistake in the vid, but other wise very nice video.

  • Thanks for these videos! There is a high demand for Disneyland Railroad videos, especially Cab rides, among myself and others on YouTube.

  • yes, I very much agree with you.

    This is great.

  • No problem :)
