To the earlier question: There's a pickup in the guitar, and he's transmitting wirelessly via a transmitter mounted on the guitar strap (behind his back). If you watch him pick up the guitar at the beginning of the clip, you can see it as he puts the strap over his head.

By the way, how come his guitar gets amplified??? I don't see any mics, and no pickup inside the guitar. As a musician myself, I want to know how they did it.

I can play this, it's not too difficult, a couple of tricky chords but it's worth putting the effort into. Singing it is the diffucult bit, I can only just sing it in the origional key, on a good day!

If you lived in Austin, or I in your town, we could get together and you could play those "tricky chords", and I could do my best to hit that unbelievable note when he comes back from the bridge into the last chorus. It's such a pretty little song, every day is a good day when I hear it.

@Vortigern99 Ah great to hear :) I can sing it too, but obviously nowhere near to Paul's Standard. I can only sing it comfortably if I lower my guitar a semitone, but the crazy thing is that on the album Paul plays it in F!

Hunky funkster. yes he is he died in 1993 aged 50 of prostate cancer .

that's sad, he was quality as well, he came up with a different piano style for bridge over troubled water, just looking at these paul simon videos, and i can't get over how he AGED! over night, went to see him in 2004, he was 62 then, went through a good looking phase when midle aged, then lost, it, oh well it comes to us all lol

I knew Richard Tee and he was not only an incredible musician, but a wonderful human being. It showed when he played, i believe. I really miss him. Sometimes i see these videos and it suddenly hits me again and i do admit i shed a tear.

Hi maslick, yes i did. We were close friends. He was someone who could light up a room with his smile and such a gentle and sweet soul. It's hard to watch these videos sometimes.

that's sad to hear, I lost a friend at just 26 to bowl cancer, it never really leaves you. I take it you've met Paul Simon?, what's he like as a person?, he seemed a nice guy at the concert i went to, you met Art as well?, the 2 of them were talking in the concert about not getting on, making a joke of it, was funny! LOL!
