  • 20 minute tabatas?? holy crap, i did 4 minutes and nearly threw up. granted, i was alternating sprint/jog for 4 minutes, but dang, that is intense.

  • No, I'm 130lbs, 5'5 and recently started doing HIIT exercises, I want to get toned all around.. not sure if the protein shakes will help with that. I want to do the exercises 30-45 min 6 times a week.

  • @MegaSkydiving HIIT training is perfect for leaning out and getting fit. What are you doing for toning? Any weight, band or strength training?   • @MegaSkydiving yes, I like my daily dose of Shakeology (and extra whey added in when I need!) Do you follow a specific plan or certain shakes?

  • @MegaSkydiving I would say that this type of workout can burn from 500 calories and up...depending on your intensity, speed and if you need breaks!! =) It's great and a typical HIIT workout!!

  • I don't know if I'm doing the single leg lunges correctly. I don't feel the burn on those.

  • @kacevedo85 your heart rate should be going up and if you need more "burn"' lunge a bit deeper with your butt going BACK....

  • Love it doll and go get yourself a gymboss. Sooooooo worth it as I do track trials and hiit training like this and looking at a watch just stinks. Keep it up and post more!!

  • This was great! The moves were easy to follow and I loved the intensity~it was exactly what I was looking for!. I like to feel thoroughly worked-out after I finish an exercise routine, and this did the trick! I'm going to do this one a few times a week at least.

  • Kathy, I just completed my first Tabata with your video. Thanks so much. I've downloaded your other bootcamp, sweat and "BodyRock" workouts. I wish that you would make more. I do feel like I worked 40 minutes as I finished the 20 minute workout. You rock!

  • Tabata training is extremely high intensity intervals for 20 seconds - almost to failure or complete fatigue then 10 seconds of rest...for 8 cycles. Total of 4 minutes.

  • @stratchic thank you for the compliment! I work on finding goals to hit and working towards those to keep me motivated. I've been physically active for over 20 years now and currently training for a fitness/bikini comp! Video to come for that too! =)

  • It's a nice workout but I have to say you're basically turning a tabata routine into a simple cardio workout. If you do the tabata correctly you shouldn't be able to do a functional second set as it was designed as a max paced workout for both aerobic and anaerobic stimulation.

    Solid workout though, don't take my comments as a negative to what you've done.
