I agree that illegal immigration must be stopped, and I say this as a (legal) Mexican immigrant. The law is the law, and people shouldn't get up in arms or invoke larger social issues whenever it is enforced properly. My only issue with anti-illegal immigration rhetoric is that it can easily slip into anti-Mexican rhetoric. The U.S. owes no obligation to Mexico, but its people should not draw premature conclusions about Mexican society based on the behavior of illegal immigrants.

The Southern States once claimed they couldn't survive without slavery. It was an awful struggle, but they have. Now some claim we can't survive without illegal Mexican labor. Yes We Can! And, if we want America to survive and not become North Mexico, we Must. I don't hate hard-working Mexicans (thoughI loathe the many criminals who keep pouring in, we've got enough of our own) but we can't just let them all flood in. Actually, this country was built with the help of lots of slave labor and low paid, ill treated minority labor (like the Chinese who built the railroad). Also, many of the early colonists were white, poor indentured servants, who came to this land to work pretty much as slaves for 4 to 7 years. They were promised freedom and some land afterward, but most died long before that. Still, the Mexican tide is drowning us and must be stemmed. Sanctuary Cities are bull and must end.

Why don't the Mexicans do something decent with their own country? They want to take over a ready-made country, rather than construct something for themselves. We have the same problem here in England with muslim and African immigration. They have sooooo many countries between them, yet they want to squeeze in here and sit on top of us. Immigration just means "Movement".
