There are no "81 evidences"....there are ZERO verifiable evidences to support the historicity of the BofM. Mormon apologists claim a lot, but none holds up to standard verification. Also it's realize that our argument is somehow not accurate because you're right, the scribes even counted the number of characters as they transcribed but, I happen to have several translations and translators don't seem to concur on many important passages. The truth is that the BoM is correct in the sense that many translators have removed precious parts by interpreting rather than translating.
So? Just because something doesn't "make it" into the Bible doesn't mean it should be included. If the BofM is correct, then it will not be a problem for you to post the manuscripts that contain those parts which were interpreted rather than translated.

It's still not proof that the BoM is true, there is no proof that it is true, and apart from the frequently changed, so called most correct book on the earth, paper version distribution centres and LDS book stores sell, there will never be any proof, but then you can't prove a false.

Love to. God did come down and translate by his hand did he? Revelation is sensitive to how faithful and righteous you are. Even when Joseph would fight with Emma, he'd go to translate, and couldn't. God told him it was because he had sinned against his wife, and would not be able to have the gift of translation until he had apologized and repented. And the errors could've been in the prior language. I live near reservations and Navajos speak so strangely that you wouldn't have a
clue how to write what they mean in English. You can't perfectly translate some languages to others. English doesn't have a ton of words that can be used to translate Navajo. I know this because I live in this area and deal with these Native people and their communication problems. I think the issue under debate that the plates were supposed to be made of gold. People carved on and hamered shapes into metal plates for millenia. Have any other books been found made of gold?
@MrStevekehl They weren't solely made of gold. You should learn that the native americans made an mixture of gold and copper and used it for the plates. They called it tumbaga. And yes there have been other metal plates found about 60 times over.
Those plates look nothing like the book of mormon ones. If anything , they prove them fakes. Besides were still waiting for one scrap of evidence to be found at the hill the plates were supposedly buried at in the first place. You know , where a quarter of a million people died useing metal weapons?!?!?!

There are no "81 evidences"....there are ZERO verifiable evidences to support the historicity of the BofM. Mormon apologists claim a lot, but none holds up to standard verification. One of their favorites is chiasmus.....lol What they won't share is it's a literary device found in a number of other languages besides Hebrew and a few examples of work that uses it happen to be Paradise Lost and Beowulf. There are plenty of other examples...none of Hebrew origin.

Furthermore, the Scriptures DO say that the Lord's anointed/called leadership can correct doctrine (2 Timothy 3:16-17 and according to Pauls first letter to Timothy, Apostles speak the truth and lie not...(See 1 Timothy 2: 7)

Also it's realize that our argument is somehow not accurate because you're right, the scribes even counted the number of characters as they transcribed but, I happen to have several translations and translators don't seem to concur on many important passages. The truth is that the BoM is correct in the sense that many translators have removed precious parts by interpreting rather than translating.

Nothing. What we DID find was the Book of Abraham scroll that Joseph Smith translated into an LDS scripture and his translation has been proven false. The one historical item that might have corroborated his prophetic power has shown he was a scam artist.

I know this because I live in this area and deal with these Native people and their communication problems. I can think of a hundred reasons of how something could get translated wrong or mis interpreted. Just like the Brother of Jared, when the languages where confused. Tons.

I can testify to you that God lives, and he loves us. AND HE DOES REVELATE TO MEN STILL, but only to those seeking the truth, not out to disprove any signs or proof of him or his son Jesus Christ. I know he revelates, because I recieved an answer DIRECTLY about if I was suppose to keep my daughter or not. So don't tell me it doesn't exist because I HAVE RECIEVED MY PROOF. and further more, do you really think a God that sent you here to see if you could be faithful to him when you were no longer in his presence, is really going to give you an answer if its true or not, when you spend your life trying to DISPROVE not only his existence and eternal work and glory, but then you try to DISPROVE his servants on earth? If you spend your entire life trying to disprove everything that is unclear, don't you think you could easily overlook the truth?

@alliekatRuca I don't try to disprove any servant, simply because Ol' Jo wasn't called by the Lord, his dozen or so versions of the first vision changed constantly, think something that important would stay the same regardless of the audience??

I think the issue under debate that the plates were supposed to be made of gold. People carved on and hamered shapes into metal plates for millenia. Have any other books been found made of gold?

@MrStevekehl They weren't solely made of gold. You should learn that the native americans made an mixture of gold and copper and used it for the plates. They called it tumbaga. And yes there have been other metal plates found about 60 times over.

Those plates look nothing like the book of mormon ones. If anything , they prove them fakes. Besides were still waiting for one scrap of evidence to be found at the hill the plates were supposedly buried at in the first place. @Mk101T - top soil grows at about 1 inch per year... leaving whatever may have been laying around as now 1 foot and 1/2 under ground. And we know nothing as to whether the mess had been cleaned up or picked through over the CENTURIES or not. Or whether this was the actual Hill Cumorah from the last battle. Have fun! Start digging! Besides I don't need to see the Ark of the Covenant to know that God led Israel out of Egypt which is also not mentioned in Egypt's History either. Not plausible?
