This is my lasting memory of Neil Back's career, to me he's just a cheat.

Crowd trouble is virtually unknown in rugby, mainly because like most rugby fans I love a hard, fast, physical but fair contest.

Cheating in any form has no place in the game, happily there's not as much in rugby as in other sports.

Definitely the best team won that day. Tigers crossed munster tryline four times (two scores) while munster crossed once hitting the flag in the process. O'Gara's first points came just after a lineout that should not have been. He had kicked it out on the full, it was calledd by the linesman but overruled by the ref so that's 3 points munster shouldn't have had.

To call such behaviour "cheating" is being disingenuous. In the professional game, professional rules apply. If a professional in any other field employs illegal methods to deny the success of a competitor it would be cauld "fraud", and that professional would be prosecuted as such.

This is like Maradona and his "hand of god" or Michael Scumacher's "accidental" side-swipe of Damon Hill - geniuses all, but with that simple flaw: win at all costs. The game was won, but the ammunition it gave to Munster for future encounters has been huge. I can't see us beating Cardiff, but if we do, and we meet Munster at Murrayfield - my heart says the Tigers will win, but my head says Munster will give us a spanking. Mick Galway, Peter Clohesy and Ronan O'Gara have all said that they have zero bad feelings towards him, that he did what he had to do, and that if in the same situation, they would have done the same.

Galway also said that Back came out and apologised 6 months later, and Gallaimh and Clohessy said that they thought less of him and lost a bit of respect for him because of it. They said that there was no need and no point in apologising!

How often do all teams commit professional fouls? This is no different. Munster were never going to win the game and Stringer should have been more attentive to the situation. Back saw an opportunity, took it and didnt get penalised. Fair play to him.
