Your rationale for using biofuels is erroneous. All fossil fuels were biological in nature before they fossilized. There is no reason to believe that burning living (pre-fossilized) material will produce any less CO2. btw, ethanol produces its own toxic substances; it also takes more of it because it burns faster than gasoline does.
