  • 85 noob...

  • ... O_O Lee Hazlewood has one of the least expressive voices I've ever heard. That aside, I wish modern music even approached this level of epicness.

  • @SiSi325 Maybe liste to it on good speakers, you'll see, he's got a beautiful deep voice

  • @SiSi325 Listen to "My Autumn's Done Come", maybe you'll see him differently afterwards. ^^

  • great sound of the day best by far for nancy too bad lee didnt get more recognition

  • She is a gold digger. She robbed that fool.

  • Mistrzostwo!

  • Я бы предпочел дуэт Нэнси и Вало.

  • danke

  • leider ..vergiss ville vallo

  • I like this song! This is my favourite!!! <3 Summer wine,,, ... lalala......

  • in 1967,there was no autotuning :)

  • If you think this is good - check them out doing Elusive Dreams - so very, very true and when you think about it it will break your heart - their very, very best song together,

  • I couldnt make the image of the first 22 seconds make sense at all.

  • Classic.

  • i love this♥ just now heard it for the first time ever.

  • Awful....

  • Um.. Nancy, dear? I think your boobs are on the wrong side..

  • Does she have a big HUMP on her back ?

  • @HennesseyCasting It's her elbow. i was like wtf until i figured that out.

  • I wonder what dear little helmet-head, Justin Bieber, would do with this song?

  • jung verliebt und eine 1jährige tochter.....wow.... ich denke oft an diese tollen zeiten......

  • beautiful and breathy muchacho quiero

  • kicken nummer

  • lovely songs,

  • HAHAHAHAHAH ethereal temptress

  • You can clearly see it's good quality: good voices, clever text, decency , and no Vevo adervertising,

  • einfach nur gut

  • just liike it!! ;DD

  • lame

  • love it... :-)

  • Jim Morrison had a great fondness for Lee Hazelwood and His Drinking...Dan O'Niallain

  • This is fake from hell.

  • amazing!!!!

  • Eine der besten Songs von Nancy :)

  • Number one song for all time.

  • It's also got a haunting urgency that leaves me breathless and with the certain knowledge that I would fall easy prey to this siren. You could protect yourself some by having nothing of value.... but there's more to lose here than a set of spurs. Weird, erotic song.

  • Nice.

  • love this song

  • great song greets from turkey:=)

  • to nancy and lee: i m drowned in ur summer wine

  • echt klasse ich liebe die alte musik da hat man noch gehört wer singen konnte und wer nicht heutzutage wird doch alles nur noch mit den computer gemacht nur noch das aussehen des sängers ist entscheiden nicht was er drauf hat

  • <3 old but awesome

  • awesome song...

  • i think this is the sexiest and most sensual song i have ever heard.. I absolutely love it .. Its the temptress and the mortal man./ he is her captive.... It is the ultimate song to show the true power a woman has over a man with her beauty and charm. Now in the original with Nancy and Lee..we have a great contrast between the dark and physical manly, lee. and the very ethereal beautiful nancy. we have the ethereal temptress who seduces the man with her strawberrys and cherries summer wine.

  • @MermaidPrincess9 you would love rossetti's goblin market, a wonderful poem, from which the idea of this song surely comes... nancy's voice makes it for me!

  • @eibhlin101 / Thanks for that.. i am an Artist and Rossettis work is one of my favorites.. I was aware like other artists that he wrote poetry as well and have been of course wanting to read it . so now i shall start here.. Thanks again. im sure i will love it . i am also an artist/poet and singer/ songwriter/ performer..

  • @MermaidPrincess9 Agree completely. Lee's classic deep-voiced masculinity just means he's got farther to fall. Brought down, not by steel, but a whisper. And he's left with a missing weekend.... and a longing for more. As an aside, the James Bond riffs seal it in 60s immortality.

  • @darnthatdreamx . i loved what you wrote and the way you expressed yourself like a true poet. I too am a poet and poetry to me is as important as the air is breathe.. Now with the line where the man is brought down by a whisper rather than steel. I interpret that as a whisper (woman) Steel ( man)/ I also see this as A symbolism for all men. and their virility and sexual prowess. and all woman with their feminine beauty and seductive charm. He is her captive and willingly so.

  • @MermaidPrincess9 / in contining my thoughts.. In essence;;It may be a Mans World but A Man is no match for the Womans beauty and seductive charms. Just look at the history of all the great woman who great men fell prey to.. Cleopatra.. Venus De Milo.. / Gueneviere seduced Lancelot with her alluring beauty and charm till finally Lancelot gave into his feelings and Kissed her and that Kiss brought down an Empire / Camelot and Broke a Great King Arthur. Romeo lost his life to Juliets beauty.

  • @MermaidPrincess9 Well said. You wrote down what many of us were thinking and couldnt write for one reason or the other...

  • @MermaidPrincess9 Damn bro...Skills

  • @MermaidPrincess9 I have a promo cd that came with a British Magazine (i don't know where you live) called Mojo. the Cd was the influences of The Clash in music. This was one of the songs on the CD. Great song!

  • seelver lol

  • Old is gold

  • the best combination would have been between Andrea Corr and Ville Vallo

  • i like the corrs version most

  • This is the second album I bought in the early sixties ( the first was Sonny and Cher) Yea! sounds just as good now! LOve you Nancy S

  • great song ...belonge to great age

  • found these songs about 30 years after the fact great

  • Great

  • Epic..

  • timeless

  • Ville valo and that chicks cover is shit. A cover should not sound exactly like the orginal..

  • Valo's and Avelon's cover version is good, but original is always original :)

  • @kriba77 Did you know that the original version of this Lee did with Suzi Jane Hokum? It's on youtube... check it out.

  • this reminds me about the times when the white race was dominant! Thx God that we had an opportunity to live those happy days!

  • Cracks me up, the people that complain about forty-five year old visual technology. Back then, it was special to see an artist / singer on television. We didn't "need" to see videos to listen to music.

  • VIlle has a better voice than this guy does...So,I prefer Ville's version, although it's not the original one :D

  • nancy, why oh why are your tits on your back?

  • Absolutely one of my most loved songs! Very erotic and yet, so innocent! Thank-You

  • It is a pity that the movie is so bad. And it looks like if she has a humpback .. But the song is one of the best I've ever heard .. .. goosebumps-song..

  • Makes me feel old memories good memories.

  • Fab tune - for my aural pleasure i'll even put up with the visuals.

  • Love this song even though I first listened to the Spanish version during my childhood

  • I like this version, but Natalia Avelon turns mi on.

  • which is the original version? This? :) ah,and i like best the version from ville valo, too. ;)

  • They both are legends! I love her songs and he has that great chesty voice. He sang a nice german song with bela b. before he passed away - that's why I even know his name

  • vroeger was alles beter, ja ja,,,,

maar als je dit hoort is het toch echt zo

    moooooooooooi liedje

  • Search this ''Dave Graney''.

  • Nostalgic!!!!

  • 2:13 haha

  • timeless

  • His voice is soooooooo deeeeeeeep and soooooooo very sexy. He's gorgous looking too.

  • @anya933 Lee Hazlewood's voice (here ... I don't know elsewhere) sounds uncannily like contemporary Sonny Bono's and Leonard Cohen's.

  • wow! 1967 Mannheim Germany .U.S.Army .My drinking song...

  • @slobzs 1967 Schwetzingen Germany, U.S. Army - I had a few to this song too!

  • was there something wrong with the camera

  • Just I have one word for the song - Superb

  • I prefer Ville and Natalia's cover. Nothing can top that version. Sorry.

  • please stop talking about shitty covers of this beautiful song and great performance! this is amazing and unpassable!

  • @boralioglu I grew up on this and still love it! However, I'm partial to the CORRS version with BONO!

  • Beautiful song... but damn what's wrong with the girl?

  • @morsomnia

It's her hair pulled back that everyone seems to perceive as her breasts. Compare opening shot to ending shot as camera pulls away. It's her hair, folks!!

  • @kneejerker If you look closely, it's her right elbow bending. Trying to look more sexy, if that's even possible! She is sexy enough. :)

  • unbelievable voice

  • Comparing the Ville Vallo interpretation to the ''original'' (truly speaking second) version ''Nancy Sinatra - Lee Hazlewood'' is tantamount to sacrilege....

  • It's a nice song but..Ville Valo and Natalia Avelon made a pretty much better cover...

  • ooooooooooooouou 0:53-0:54 summer wine that made me laugh hahahaha

but yeah nothing beats the original

  • Ja...sowas is tatsächlich magisch

  • good :)

but more i like the version from ville valo and natalia avelon <3

  • @ThePfefferkuchen1 I wish there was a version with ville and nancy... nothing against lee, but this would just be awesome!

  • @Singsonggirl

oh yes, this would be great :D

  • @ThePfefferkuchen1 Your life is "Rank Xerox", you are just a copy. :-(

  • @burqabob

    what?

  • @ThePfefferkuchen1 Yes, the Other is a little bit better, but this song can´t be bad... it´t a great song

  • @upalumpa100

    i never said this :)

i like this version too ;)

  • @ThePfefferkuchen1 You need to clean your ears out woman.

  • @bloodthreat

    i think not, no...

    that is my opinion..

  • 69 people were dizzy because of Nancy's shiny eyes and accidentally hit the dislike button.

  • @peterpmusicworld don't worry--YOU like Nancy, as do all of us

  • @windstorm1000 Yeah.

  • Einfach genial, fantastisch, magisch =)

  • its not " THE BEST VERSION " .....

THIS IS THE VERY FIRST WRITTEN OORRIIGGIINNAALL !!!!!

  • @XXplaythegamesXX not, this is the first version 'Virgil Warner & Suzi Jane Hokom - Summer wine'

  • hm. Lee had that hair--looks like a massive comb over--or helmet I guess.

Nancy had that baby doll-valley of the Dolls thing going on before anyone--Goldie Hawn was the last, most successful proponent of this look. Sure like it. Kind of too young to remember those days very well. Late 60's, early 70's Some great things before bad disco and bell bottoms took over.Nice to have these remnants of the Cowboy Psychedelic era.

  • love it!!!!

  • If I take a trip on a space ship to the borders of our galaxy, I would play this song on the way...

  • this is a really erotic and suggestive song isnt it?

we all know what summer WINE is !!

and "cherry" is a dead give away

  • i don't know! what is it?

  • @raawwrrrLina have u read 'drink to me only with thine eyes' by ben jonson ?

there its the same thing..drinking a womans' wine refers to cunnilingus..

  • they both wore the same outfits in "Velvet Morning"

  • the original !!!!!

  • ♪♫♥ !

  • Summer Wine Sublime And Divine

  • amaizing voices

  • <3 this song........

  • This video is hypnotic. I love the song.

  • Let's all thank God that Lee Hazelwood never quit drinking and remained "true to his spirit like Jim Morrison..." Dan O'Niallain

  • @oldiesbutgoodies67 A profound statement... Dan. . Yes as an artist/poet/ singer/songwriter/performer.. i have always tried to remain true to my spirit ..in the immortal words of one of my fallen idols.. Janis Joplin who said, "You must always be true to yourself.. Saw Janis in 69/ Amazing./ I also saw the Doors in 70 and met Jim Morrison intimately. SO i say heres to all the Fallen Idols who remained true to their spirit and in doing so sacraficed their lives for their art that they gave to us

  • This is one of those songs where the cover turned out better than the original BY FAR... haha... Ville Valo and Natalia Avelon's version is MUCH better...

  • @ObsOfAnEarthCitizen You know, this is an digitalized version, so the quality is much lower than in the version you have mentioned. If you have them both in equal quality, there wouldn't be better or worse, they just have a different interpretation. The version of Ville Valo and natalie Avalon is more like a modern lovesong, and not so mystical with the "sexy" side of the song. This version is more like a song, that can be acted along and not something for the radio. I would say this is art.

  • @Alcminuialwen

It's not a debate, just my opinion... I can appreciate this version as well, but I do find Valo / Avelon's version to be better.

  • @ObsOfAnEarthCitizen Then don't make it sound like you want to hate this interpretaion... Don't use such hahas and things and make clear, thats an opinion, not an stupid hater-comment.

  • @Alcminuialwen

    ...Chill out troll.

  • First song I learned to play on my guitar back in those days.

  • i want to have sex with her voice ....

  • @unorthodoxritual That is too funny, but I kinda' know what you mean. I love the contrast between Nancy and Lee's voices in their duets!

  • @TonyMaximMuscles indeed....looking nowadays music which is all about sex as very taboo subject makes me appreciate this music and of course i love her voice , i love her as a singer ...she`s just awesome.... so yeah my comment like fusion between today and that time....today music is about sex and that time music suppose to lift you out from your routine for example....so yeah i want to have sex with her voice...it`s a very hot one (i mean good)

  • @unorthodoxritual All music, at least all good music is about sex, in one way or another.... but to be fair, it isn't just sex, there is romance as well. you can listen to any song out there and hear what you are trying to hear. This particular song has a deep rugged voice for the ladies and a sultry seductress for the guys.

  • @TheWick53 well you can`t play romance dressed like a whore...or undressed

  • Legend has it that Nancy and Tina Sinatra are now "Really Good Cooks" but remember the ancient rule if you say Tina makes a better Blueberry, Apple or Cherry Pie than you'll never get another home made Pie from Nancy...I made that blunder with my own Aunt Mag and Helen, not knowing that they tell each other on the phone what their Nephew had said, depending on who I was talking to...Dan O'Niallain

  • Unreal Good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Shygazer: You're think of Lee Greenwood I think..'I'm proud to Be An American'

  • Lee is one cool dude :-)

  • They're so good together. Solo I'm not that into Lee or at least that song he wrote about being proud to be an American. I don't mind patriotic music but the song sounds like a cheesy Stater Brothers commercial.

  • I m listen only heavy metal/hard rock the last 20 years, but this is one of the best songs EVER!!!! WHAT A MELODY!!!! I CAN SEE (AND HEAR IT) AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN...

  • Leaves me breathless...love it!

  • i think its her right arm too they shouldn't have her pose like that. good song though

  • I can't find my breath of wonders if I am listening this song !

  • Such a lovely lady she was to listen to and admire.Thank you.

  • classy song

  • strawberries, cherries, and a nigger's kiss in spring

  • amazing good music !

  • @AaroLaitinen Yes, and it's quite easy to play on guitar too..

  • I,d ly listening imagining. Was great to be able to.She didn,t make many songs.Did She?

  • @7466309change Well.. It was enough to do a "Best of.." with 2-CD's.. Maybe you've heard Bang, bang or These boots were made for walking, Sugar town, Jackson?? (Among many more..) That is Her!!

  • @Solvinden I not know about all those.I was not complaining you know?I was remmbering as a kid I did ly in bed listening to her beautifull sounds.I watched her on television and her dad and her singing.Makeing the connections they did made me feel good.I did not have the same connections but was glad she did,.

  • @7466309change jus super song and super artists . it's hard to find these days .

  • @Draganp1947 yes this is true.

  • Yes man

  • great song...painful position

  • A little summer wine and Nancy , yeah that would be great

  • I suddenly have a craving for some vino. White.

  • What a neat duet! I love how songs used to tell stories, and this is a funnyone at that.

  • i would take her with this extra set of tits also :-)

  • Nancy & Ville would be the best. :D think their voices would fit so great together..

  • @turtlegirl112 What do you mean. Who needs Ville, if you can hear the great Lee Hazlewood??? Nancy and Lee are the best team.
