Nice pick ups man. Amazing spider-man is the only comic ive been reading recently that would make me want to go and collect back issues. It's too expensive over here!
Yeah, I remember the old FF cartoon without the torch...hated it, c;mon no TORCH! Do you remember the old THING cartoon when the kid would put his 2 rings together and all these orange rocks would come out of nowhere and cover him up and he would change into the thing?....LOL!
@koestenbraumstar ...The cartoon is on you tube, I guess just type in THING CARTOON, it was a very bad cartoon on NBC in the 80's. Personally I don't know how Marvel let the exec's at NBC get away with that shit. The kid would say this corny line "Ring thing do your thing" then connect the rings and he would transform into Ben Grimm.
i like ur philosophy on collecting comics.i also like to hunt for comics and go to different comic shops.recently i have been ordering my comics through midtown comics because the cost of gas is so high.however in august i'm goin to the chicago comic con where i hope to find alot of back issues i have been lookin for.i hope i run into Hans but not literally cause that would hurt.lol
@MrRobk270 if you see Hans he will either be in the cosplay area chasing torpedo woman or he will be swapping war stories with Stan Lee...regardless, give the man a wedgie for me if you see him!
*Phew* I thought you had turned into Batman in the last video it was so dark... "Hairspray fire shooters"- woah, trust Captain Strangelife to out- danger everyone..., Chlorine is great for adding to other elements for pyrotechnics- still got a hole in my hand from a bomb we made when we were teenagers... Extremely volatile and dangerous... cool....super books, nice work Scotty!!
spideys are always awesome to get. i lit my face on fire a bit, once . me and my friend playing with lighter fluid and pop bottles. burning eye brows stink... and hurt lol
Stupid/fun things we did in the past (I will not reveal our ages) : Slid on lunch trays down busy streets on steep hills, rode Tonka trunks down busy roads on steep hills, hairspray and lighter fights, shot bottle rockets at each other after sneaking out at night, rode sleds down frozen roads in the middle of town at 3 in the morning, car surfed, and went to Bradshaw, West Va at night. If you knew the place you'ld think that was funny/stupid to do.
Loved those early Lee/Ditko books. The concept of Kraven isn't great, but the creators made it work and Kraven became one of the better Spidey villains. Still can't believe that I gave away all my issues of Spider-Man (started collecting with #3 or #4 as I recall. When I went in the Navy in '69 I gave my collection to a neighbor kid.
I agree with you about 'the hunt' rather than going to eBay. Always excited to find a book at a con or shop after searching for years.

That condition on that ASM 128 was just amazing! It's always difficult with those black background covers. Nice haul!
