The problem is the US visa program makes slave labors out of imigrants. They get the same wage as an American by law when they start but will never get a promotion or raise till they get permanent status. They also can not change jobs. 4-8 years of stagnation, living in a by and large prejudice country is not worth it. many very smart immigrants come to the US get a company on the resume and then leave.

They are paid higher salaries, of course.. they are americans .. not because company wanted to pay them high, but American labor laws apply to them even though work here in new delhi.

Nothing to do with India getting better. Problem is, it's very difficult for Indians to get better positions in the USA. Agreed there are a lot of right-from-India Indians here who didn't go to school here. But people like me who have American Grad school education, strong technically, excellent communications, well dressed everything perfect but still we never go higher. We end up being techies while white folks become mgrs after 7-8 yrs of being white. So some chose to go back.

Availability of highly skilled workforce will prompt US companies to outsource the same work to India and hence Indian government gets the taxes on those high incomes.
US Companies don't care whether the same work is done in US or India as long as they are saving substantial amount of money.

Once again, all the great jobs are in other countries because of the greed of big corporations, and they are using the US consumer, who has to borrow money to buy their products, because those jobs aren't here for them to be able to afford the stuff made in other countries, to fatten their wallets.
