I dont know how anyone could sit through 7 minutes of this at a show..The story might have worked had some ex WWE/WCW/ECW wrestlers been involved but this guy is vince russo in appearance and reading out a letter like that would lose anyones attention.
It is a very far fetched. A clever stunt to try and put a spin on things. I think that it is a dig at WWEs move back to a more family based product whilst TNA are supporting the old extremists from ECW.
What a farce. The Sun as a "respected news source?" Please. Where's the proof that Doug Williams said this besides this man's word? It's irresponsible to take this as fact without using any deductive reasoning to discern that there isn't any evidence behind it. So what, some clandestine group of investors want to take over the professional wrestling world in order to sustain and maintain one company over any others? Sounds to me like a silly appropriation of any common whacko conspiracy theory.
its just the small town paper of the daily mail (for those who dont know it was the mail who published the infamous headline 'hurrah for the blackshirts' in support for the British Union of Fascists)
I've listened and I understand clearly what is being said, it makes sense to me and I wold say that its plausible and to quote wrestling vernacular, it's not a work.
i have to say that although it sounds improbbable at best.....it does sound a little plausable. It doesnt take a genius to figure out that wrestling is a big part of kids entertainment. So you could easily use it to make them believe a certain thing or pollute their minds with opinions. I think that it would take a trully evil person to do this. But they do exist. I for one will be looking for subtle changes in the industry as it is a sure fire way to see if this is true or not
Wow this is boring.

I don't believe you,
Why would Doug Williams of all people be approached about this?
Oh, and you write for Daily Star?
Yeah, now I know it's BS

Who's betting Alex Shane came up with this? He's the only one in FWA insane enough.

I'm not surprised this went over the heads of the audience at Hope and Glory. I have no idea what they're talking about.
