Northern Ireland was a very different situation. These people aren't protesting because their sovereignty or rights have been violated. Their country isn't being occupied by foreigners. Some one has to keep order in the streets. The protesters in question were burning cars and smashing people's property. This is what police are here for.
It's not Northern Ireland...The LAPD IS over-stepping it's bounds.Immigration is NOT a Right,it's a privelege.Everybody who was there is somewhat at fault for what happened.
In northen Ireland,the Irish when confronted with this sort of behaviour from the police/army,would use petrol bombs.Often launched from rooftops using improvised catapults.
In the above clip and others filming the same event I saw no retaliation from the protesters-and yet the police just went on firing and beating.
