This is really bad from Google, all my sites that are optimised in my extensive SEO efforts all gone to waste, Google have too much power unfortunately now.
In answer to some of your questions, i think Google should really reconsider this move, its another unwelcome change from Google, it will definately result in less traffic to my sites.
