  • I can't count the times that has happened to me. Glad you are OK. God bless and ride safe.

  • Take care out there! great vids, However, I see more checking to your left than too your right? hope you wear a scarf and don't let them blind fools creep in on you anymore! Following similar situations -although in NewZealand we're driving on the left- I usually pull in behind them with a loud gear change, so they can think; "woah! where'd that bike come from man?" just for fun. Peace.

  • I've had some close call too.. These driver now day just don't care ride safe my friend..

  • @thisvideo.

Loved the guys chuckle. Well, when your riding down a highway on a motorbike feeling the air going around you, it's a peaceful feeling, it's awesome!

  • what cam u go?

  • i had many close calls too... i ride a Kawasaki zx 14 1382 cc ninja....

  • shoulda slowed down or pinned it lol

  • Well you could of slowed down, risk getting hit from behind, took shoulder risk hitting obejct or do what bike are good at and VROOOOOM out of his way :P

  • Wow! Nice save. It sucks that there is never much debris on the shoulder.... Until you have to actually go on it! Wtf??

  • is this i5?

  • gotta love people that don't pay attention while driving :|

  • Right at the point he crosses that line you should test out your bikes throttle response.

    Close call with the gator.

  • Where in california is this? looks like sac..

  • youre laughing at that? i would be feuming....what i would have done is use the kunckle guard on my glove to smash out his passenger window/mirror/anything else that would break quickly, as i then powered up past 125mph and got off the next exit.....

  • im sure you were looking at the road to make sure there was no debris in it while you were riding, next time this happens pull back on the throttle maybe downshift, get to the left side not on the shoulder, and the guy will see you and probably hear you at that point. you practically saw it before it happened and didn't slow down or speed up. always be on the defensive

  • should have sped up and kicked his door

  • Damn i wish that car hit you. Bible thumping retard. I know u wont post this. You never post my comments. Coward

  • Id be pissed off

  • It's really amazing how stuff like that happens. Too many people only look at their mirrors. Turn your head.

Shock, just so you know, I ALWAYS give bikers room to get by if I am stuck in the lane. I got your backs! Probably even seen you a few times too.

  • must be so fun driving that, but so dangerous

  • Oh man, tell me about this, Im a driver. I drive a 16 passenger vehicle. I get this frequentely, this dude didnt even seem to notice how close he was. This aint funny bro, people need to be responsable. Maybe you dont care if you die but most people do, atheist and theist.

  • smooth and controlled. very impressive. glad you're okay!

  • great job remaining calm and taking quick action to prevent any serious injury or accidents God be with you and all the many riders

  • lucky you did not hit a piece of tire or something, that could cause a crash too.

  • this almost happened to me once, and im in a frikkin Pontiac Bonneville

  • Aw man thats why I'm afraid of motorcycles.

  • i want to comment on you comment xD u said

"don't worry I am not atheist so if I die I go to heaven...but you should leave that comment on the atheist biker channels..I agree with you."

so what your saying is that i die as an atheist i dont go to heaven.? and why.?

  • @Osclala yes that is right. Read John 3:16 in the bible

  • @shockofgod Amen, brother! This isn't religion; folks, this is the truth! But a powerful truth only tapped into through spirit, and that no amount of logic and/or science alone nor any other world or human-developed thing can or ever will discover. Certainly, IQ is only one dimension of our multi-dimensional beings (e.g. EQ, SQ). Heck, us arrogant and egotistical humans can't even build a planet! One can perhaps ignore their own spirit (and GOD, their creator) for a lifetime, but not forever.

  • @shockofgod NO! THAT IS BLASPHEMY. IF YOU HAVE GOOD IN YOUR HEART AND KNOW THERE IS SOMETHING GREATER IN THIS LIFE, GOD WILL LOVE YOU AND ACCEPT YOU. IF YOU BLATANTLY DENY HIM AND ALL OF HIS SAVING ACTION THEN YOU WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED INTO HEAVEN. You know at least thats what i am told

  • @shockofgod OMG you are luck man. I've had the same done to me here in london. It don't matter if your lights are on or you're wearing bright clothing - they still can't see you. Stay safe

  • @shockofgod All you need to be worried about is Austin 3:16!

  • @Osclala Just believing isn't enough my friend. We are living times that are all predicted on the bible all you have to do is open your eyes. Until then you won't understand but you will soon.

  • This is why i try and go at least 15mph faster when overtaking. this chump would either have a missing wingmirror or a boot shaped dent in his door if it were me.

  • @Blackfall234 I agree with you...atheism is full of crapola.

  • god was on your side !

  • Wow, If that happened to me, I would road rage that driver like crazy.

  • thats what you face on the road with a bunch crackerjack drivers out there

  • if he really escaped death he shouldent be laughing :!!

  • U should keep some heavy rocks on hand to throw at people who do that to u.

  • which calculator did you use to record this

  • @treejoe4 I think you mean camera lol

  • @shockofgod hahahahah!

  • so if the freeways are mean and unforgiving, why do you ride on them? :D

  • @Wolfboy183 Because I am not mean and I am forgiving...I am balancing it out he he

  • @shockofgod LOL, like that response!! XD

  • Man, especially when you got on the median....tire debris, rocks and shit are just laying there waiting to do damage,

  • U get alot of close calls :/

  • @afropick8 this is an everyday event for me on my bike. No joke, people just dont pay attention. Even worse is the shape of most roads in america. The city where I live is just begging for someone to crash and sue them.

  • and that my friends is why car wins over bike

  • @pacloro No it just some ppl never truly learn how to drive ^^

  • TUPAC

  • You're lucky! The highways here in DC don't have much of a shoulder, if any, to run to if a cager decides they want your lane. I have to lay on the horn and hope I can out brake them or get stuck between a car and the jersey wall.

  • Crazy man. You didn't even go oh shit or anything haha

  • ppl cant drive !!!

  • If only.......

  • you've got to blame the dumbass laws in the US allowing drivers/riders to UNDERTAKE.

the UK do not allow this, i ride and this feels safer in the knowledge

  • do you guys see the big hole in the ground:|? omgggg

  • The pope is the anti christ that the lord JESUS CHRIST warned us about. Paul who spoke for christ told us that the anti christ would sit in the temple of God and say he is God. Paul said the temple of God is the christian church what man sits in the christian church and says he is God. The pope and no other man does this blasphemous act. REV 17 says the anti christ and the harlot church would sit in power together on the city which lays on seven hills that is the vatican in ROME my friends

  • That right there is why loud pipes save lives. Stupid cager would have noticed him if he had some sound to that crouch rocket.

  • @the420shredhead... You said what is more dangerous cars or motorcycles and you answered motorcycles... Your wrong it is the idiots in cars.

  • well that right there is a good way for the car to loose a mirror here in texas we do a friendly kick off a mirror trick to the numb nuts that dont double look

  • I'm a rider, and had so many close calls. Thank you Jesus for giving me enough time to get good at braking and handling sportbikes, or i wouldn't be here right now. I'm a Christian also:) 2003 CBR600 RR, 2009 CBR 1000RR

  • anyone see that dog walking along on the side of hwy. ?

that could be more dangerous than the car .

  • i hate how the driver that almsot hit him was guarenteed to be chinks or pakis

  • what is this shit

  • ur going to die if u keep ridinig and that wasnt even close

  • the correct response would have been to grab his left side mirror (those things break off pretty easily) and then accelerate while tossing it over your shoulder, hopefully breaking his windshield

  • "death stalks the motor bike rider" or maybe there just dangerous as fuck

  • didnt see any escaping the clutches of death in this video :S

  • ... nothing to see here, move along.

  • this guys laugh at death

  • Whoaa!!!..Whew...close one!

  • Whats more dangerous, heavyweight boxing or motorcycles?

    Motorcycles.

  • I have 4 eyes when I ride these days. As if talking on the phone was not an issue before but now you got texting, ipading AND talking on the phone. Athiest or not you wont find out until the end. Good save rider.

  • and when I ride my bike now I look at upcoming mistakes and make predictions and what people are going to do and remeber the mistakes I make in a car. So everytime I'm not riding my bike it's like a saftey training course when I'm driving I try to find things that cars on the road do , and see ok what will kill me

  • As I started to learn to drive I noticed people switch lanes without signaling or they signal halfway already switching. And I used to do it first so when I ride a car now I ride the best that I can hopefully others will pick up the saftey signs

  • wow so much anti-atheism?

  • dude YOU SHOULD MAKE WAY MORE FILMS ON A BIKE

  • Errr, where was the near death?

  • You learn to see those things coming. i.e. if a cage is near a vehicle in front of it, chances are he's going to start overtaking.

  • @Borridd true man...atheism is evil.

  • @DAyomandude It's a helmet Cam.

  • People need to SET THEIR MIRRORS CORRECTLY and start LOOKING BEFORE THEY SWITCH LANES. I don't drive a motorcycle, but if there weren't so many idiots I sure would.

  • hopefully the guy who almost bumped into you got a ticket later on that day and a flat.

  • ill admit it is REALLY easy to miss a motorcycle because nobody ever looks twice please "look twice it could save a life"

  • Hey, shockofgod, I'm going be to getting a bike soon (hopefully a SV650!). Whereabouts in California are you? Don't recognize the freeway

  • good reactions man ! saw a few your vids and your a very careful rider, mirrors and gear etc rubber side down man ;)

  • Dude, come to India. California ain't got no evil.

  • Is this REALLY all you hear riding a motorcycle?

  • @MultiNerve yep, pretty much just road noise... sounds like the mic's picking up the wind more than anything...

  • Lets see..In this order. Pedestrian, Motorcycle, Car, Truck, Semi, Train.. This is my Safety List. Where would wanna be on it?

  • You should STOP ridin'

  • @TheNoobishGamer don't worry I am not atheist so if I die I go to heaven...but you should leave that comment on the atheist biker channels..I agree with you.

  • @shockofgod you have a real hang up about atheists don't you.

  • @popnoodlesvideo You have no idea how much he 'loves' atheists...

  • @shockofgod Haha. Don't be careful, be faithful!

  • @shockofgod doesn't matter if they're athiest or not, if you believe in god then we are all god's creations, no one knows if they're going to hell or heaven but god himself,

  • @sexking83 it's spelled atheist not athiest. I know I used to be one until I got a brain and a heart

  • @shockofgod lmao thats a great explanation shock!!

  • Been liking your videos, but honestly flying into the shoulder looked more dangerous. Just hammer that throttle for a sec and you would have zoomed right by. What type of bike you on? I ride a ninja zx6r

  • man its a amazing video you even encounter some havy dvry in the shoulder and still have the chanse to manouver and miss it. god sure its looking over you .keep up the good work my new friend

  • ever thought about hooking up a mini train horn to your bike? i just realized until now that maybe it would be an interesting concept. get a small tank for compressed air and the horn and let er rip.

  • @nicholasproductions1 Dude that would be awesome! They would shit their pants. I would seriously hunt these idiots down that don't look over shoulder

  • " sorry mate ...didn't see you " .... first words uttered, usually

    prolly still unawares ..

IMHO everyone shouwld have to ride a bike before getting a licenec for a bigger vehicle, ...might,...might make some of em see 'us' now an then !!

    THINK BIKE !

  • I wish I could say this was rare but happened to me only this morning too!. Dbag was driving aggressively in an old ass Subaru station wagon and almost merged into my back wheel..

  • This all can be avoided with agressive driving.

The best two things I learned were these.

When your new or somewhat new: Ride like everyone is out to kill you.

When your a bit more advanced: Ride a little faster then everyone, take lead of the pack. So when that dumb ass merges onto you, you wont be there anymore as it was already.

  • Nice save!

  • wonder what would of happened if you twisted the throttle or use the brakes:D

  • Wow... people really need to use their mirrors. I say that instead of having airbags, we try Brad Stine's idea and put anvil's in cars. That way people would be extra careful! lol... People may start using their mirrors and their turn signals again! :)

    watch?v=0oezKkQvzy8

  • Respectfully, Why didnt you cach up to him and give him a little of the middle left?

  • Shock - I have never been on a moto on the fwy but your videos make me feel like I have. Inland Empire fwys....lol

  • I'd love to know why so many people dont look before changing lanes or straight-lining islands. I wouldn't dream of staring blindly ahead and just hoping there's nobody along side as I change lanes on the motorway so why does everyone else!!! We all need to invest in cameras!!

Good riding dude and a lesson to all bikers : ...

    ASSUME YOU ARE INVISIBLE!

  • Reaction command= SUCCESSFUL

  • Good job you were wearing a yellow jacket !!!!! Did these people ever flinch or did they remain completely unaware?

  • Throw something at their car and give them the finger.

  • i dont get it

  • @h4rdstyl3r1337 when the video first starts the car to his right changes into his lane and he has to go off of the road to the left, thats not a left lane he drifts into.

  • this video is why i dont ride anymore

  • WTF the lamest video E-V-E-R YOU GAY

  • thats standard. everyday riding. i dnt see the big deal. sorry

  • i would sevearly punish that driver

  • get a louder pipe!

  • it always seems like death is trying to catch me .. but things like this happen weekly... however once a year something crazy happens that I dont know how i make it through it sometimes by the grace of quick throttle control or hard brakin

  • I've had this happen to me in a town so it was no big deal because of the slower speed. But on a road like this has to be my worst nightmare! That was good reactions to get out of the way and to laugh at it.

  • hey shock i gotta say you are a good man who is at peace because honestly even though im born again i would have gotten sooo much road rage, hat's off to you bud

  • You should of gave the mid finger instead xD

  • one question, how are you filming this? Hopefully a helmet cam, because if your filming it by holding the camera in one hand, then you're not being very careful

  • Maybe you're lucky, more likely God is just with you, either way that was a bit scary to watch. I'm sure much more scary to be there, how did you manage to miss that retread on the shoulder, it looked like you were going right into it! I am a very inexperienced rider, only ridden a street bike a few times in my life. I wouldn't want to chance it on the roads in this state, although riding 1 south (or back north) Big Sur area is really fun and great scenery! A bit scary too at times though.

  • lobsternoob I didn't even see the retread I was "lucky" I guess...

  • @shockofgod I hope you didn't take that as me taking a poke at you. I wasn't making fun, sometimes its hard to gauge whether someone is being sarcastic or serious when you can only converse in printed word. Be safe, looking forward to hearing your Easter radio show, sounds like its gonna be good!

  • hey no not at all man don't worry its all good.

  • @shockofgod ty for subscribing to me - i subb'd back

  • never know how valuable life is until its nearly taken from you...

  • OMG shock. Scary stuff

  • lol i bet that manouver made that driver come home 5 seconds faster. stupid.

  • My younger brother has the riding gloves with titanium plates and a mean hammer fist...when things like this happen there's a mirror flopping along the side of the road as he rides off unscathed...

  • Hey ShockofGod, love ur vids. I also love ridin dirt bikes and quads here in San Diego, but this is the exact reason I don't have a street bike

:( Horrible Cali drivers lol. Well watch urself out there and God Bless!

  • jgrasso619 hey man thanks for the friendship, listen to our radio show and go into our chat room at Shockawenow . N E T

  • I want to get a motorcycle but my parents said if I get one, I have to pay rent.

  • @flyboy3d hahaha unlucky bro, you should do what i did, i hid my motorbike at my girlfriends house for like a month then sooner or later your parents will come around when you bug them so much, and then you will be strolling up on your bike and theyre like howd you get that so quick haha worth a try bro peace Christians ftw!!!

  • lol I wish I could do that...but my parents aren't gonna budge any time soon, and right now I couldn't even remotely afford it, my cars transmission needs to be replaced.

  • flyboy3d well with the motorcycle you could ride it to and from work...I say its worth it :-)

  • I agree...considering I do close to 500 miles a week for my commute to and from school and work.

I just can't afford it right now.

  • @flyboy3d Haha, welcome to the club.

  • @flyboy3d my parents said the same thing, trust me they wont follow through with it, I still got mine and the only thing that changed is i now get 40+ mpg LOL

  • @flyboy3d then pay rent!

  • @flyboy3d Be a man and pay your parents some rent. They raised you, stop being a burden on them and you get a bike. win / win.

  • I want to have a motercycle to later, gotta wait for some years :\

  • Take a bike on the freeway; take your life in your own hands. They do not belong there and neither do,"sub-compacts".

  • im pretty sure that's where they belong mostly. freeways and highways. yes they're small and are hard to see, but they're also nimble and quick to respond. try taking a corner with your truck at 150K and see what happens.

  • I just feel safer with two of steel between me and what I hit. I was once going 80 in a van ,in the rain, and a biker passed me,shirtless, with no helmen.

  • @fluffydanny

go blow it out of your arse cager

  • you barely missed that pothole at :23 as well. ( =

  • Luke 21:36

Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man."

Colossians 4:2 2Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

  • watch

    QCO6smQrjJ8

  • My gosh how come I feel like if I run over a rock or something then I will be tumbling and rolling for miles on this thing.... Motorcycle are scary.

  • i wouldnt b ridin a motorcycle on the highway in the first place.........

  • glad to see yer alright

  • Can you explain to me what happened at this? I didn't understand.

  • whit car almost hitted him, then at the end a guy who saw it showed him that it was "this close"

  • shock i would have been cussing like a sailor chasing that guy down and braking is window and all kinds of bad stuff how do you stay so calm dude. man im for real you have someone watchin out of you up stais on the real.

  • that would be a big crash 0:22 the motorcycle guy was forced to go left because that idiot grey car dint see him =/

  • lol wtf xD

  • it not the first and not the last if the colonials had proper lane restrictions it wouldnt happen and even when we do in the uk it happens at least once a day on the "freeway" we call it a motorway

  • That is one lucky guy, good hazard awareness saved him getting hit.

    :)

  • Someone does that to me and I pull my tire iron from the front fork and thrash their car. Seriously. Keep a tire iron or the like handy for idiot cagers.

  • Psalm 34:7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.

  • ya what you said

  • That guy is LEGIT.

  • Happens to me all the time. The people driving the auto become angry because the cycle is in their way.

  • Good thing there was room on the road for you to move over. Some roads don't have an emergency lane. What part of California are you in?

I almost hit a cop on a motorcycle recently because I didn't see him. I really didn't. He was in my blind spot. That's the first time I ever did that. It was so embarrassing.

The safest place to drive a motorcycle: the internet highway. Haha.

  • @FireThunderTv, i understand you, but the officer was probably doing that on purpose they get in your blind spot so much (obviously only the motorcycles) and wait for you to speed or turn without your blinkers, etc to get you a ticket!

  • Its not that the driver was blind, its just that drivers have NO respect for motorcycles.. when i say NO i mean it, its depressing actully how they just pull over like that

  • I dont think you should be driving a motorcycle here in the I.E.

It is the most dangerous area to be cycling. More than L.A

    Anyway, just expressing concern.

  • the safest way to ride is expecting everyone will do this :) Cheers!

  • test 1 2 3

  • So quiet on that bike

  • im confused what happened???

  • @hakreme,

the white car at the beginning pushed him to the left shoulder of the road. Had there not been any space there, he might have been pushed against another car or a wall.

  • I dunno if the car missing him while lane changing is what would scare me the most - the blown tire in the shoulder that he just barely missed is the real danger.

I've been forced into lane splitting as a result of cars not checking blind spots, and while intimidating at first, you get used to it. But hitting a giant piece of rubber going 65 mph @ 0:20 on 2 wheels.....deadly.
