He's knocked out her best, he's taken from her what she wanted and needed to live for. And she can't find herself tonight. She can't find her reason.

@xoxcampbell I am not 100% sure on this, but I think what she is saying is a little like the line that follows: "And so long to ever-afters" like when a tragedy hits, or a disaster, there feels like there are no happy ever afters and that you are stuck in darkness, night, away from light and newness, mornings. Though this is just how I see it, I am not sure if this is what she meant.
