It is not a turban it is a part of the outfit of a Greek orthodox monk priest. But only if they are monks can they us it, regular orthodox priest do not use it . I am a Russian orthodox and The monks in the Russian order also were them, but the top part of the hat its a bit longer .

I always though plain chant was part of music. Almost like a psalm. I guess I'll have to brush up on my music study notes back from University. b.t.w.: Orthodox catholic priest can get married, right... unlike the catholic priests we're used to hearing about in regular catholic (ie. Eastern Orthodox Priests, and I think Eastern Catholic Priests can get married but they cannot promote to the Episcopate (Bishop).

Catholic Priests of the Roman Rite cannot be married at all. Catholic Priests of the Anglican Rite (Anglican/Episcopal Priests who returned to the Roman Catholic Church) can be married.
