furthermore buying green things will NEVER 'save the world'. it will only make our culture slightly less destructive than before. and the reason it is so destructive now is because of CAPITALISM. But these people and the business press will never tell you that because they are either unable to think outside the box, or want to continue to make short term profits

she bases her ideas on the failed view that profits are the important thing to aim for. especially when it comes to the environment we need to look beyond profits and what makes a buck. lets think about how to improve communities, improve our health, reduce poverty and inequality. those things are FAR more important than money and infact are problems often compounded by our societies lust for money.
