When Jacare fights, you can really see his Judo black belt in the way he avoids the guard (typical Judo strategy), the way he throws people using advance brown and black level Judo techniques, the way he always like to put himself in positions where he can quickly submit (once again Judo strategy) ... when I first saw Jacare fight, I thought he must be a judoka and then I researched that he holds a black belt in Judo.
It is considered more appropriate for judo since judokan are worried about being pinned and more instinctively turtle to prevent the pin. Judo and Jiu-Jitsu moves are the same, but the strategies of the fight is different. Just as MMA and grappling sports are different.
except the countless transitions, set-ups, and everything else that you find in BJJ and NOT in Judo. they're 2 different arts with similar techniques, but there is a lot in each art that you will not find in the other if you know what you're looking for.
@MikeyTriangles I sort of agree with you. Techniques are the same but approach and setup might be different but as fightsol said, an arm bar is an arm bar no matter what style you use.
cross choke isn't that good when I do it. so it wont work on advanced fighters right? Then how come black belts do it? idk maybe its cuz they practice. i see no reason why this wont work if you drilled and it and attacked it at the proper time.

Jacare is a Judo Black Belt also, btw lot of techniques are the same in BJJ, Judo, Sambo or whatever ground style you want (an armbar is an armbar).
