Yes detantalus you should get this game and there is a lot of people playing this on battlenet(online) and this game is even on the world cyber games(broodwars expansion only) so yes I recommend you to buy this game, but I would play it on a desktop not on a netbook(too small) I hope to see you on battlenet :)

Because if not, then the audio would sound off (it would be like a whole step higher, which is noticeably different) if he sped it up. Whether or whether not is possible with that program, the speed at which he is playing is very attainable. Just watch a fpvod (first person vod) of a pro Korean BW player and you will see that in fact, this guy plays slowly :P.

@MurryEB Zeratul only had 1000 damage warp blade in the last mission where he killed the overmind, this one he's got 100 again but the cell only have 25 HP leftover. But still. 100 damage can kill Kerrigan easily
@MurryEB Nah, I can safely assure you the overmind had 2500 HP, Zeratul killed it in 3 shots, the cell had 25 HP, Zeratul blast if off with one shot and the matriach dies after the cutscene.

the 8th mission is ungodly difficult, i practically cheated in one sense, i sent a unit capped drop right at the cliff where the overmind is, killed surrounding units, and rushed the overmind with ultras, hydras, and then pulled them back and last hit with my dark templars, this mission is way easier after that shittiness, only one enemy base that is easy to rock up, no massive AOE AA like valkyries and guardians put down
i'd say level 8 was the hardest mission i could ever play, i never actually beat it i just cheated (and later found out there was a massive resource pile at the bottom of the map, so i may try it again some day). the first time i tried this mission i was attempting to tack with only guardians, mutalisks, and devourers. that was an epic failed attempt. i feel so bad for zeratul, like that was really REALLY shitty of kerigan

Notice early on, the runner kills 2 archons. Perhaps the AI morphed its templars into archons because the high templars did not have enough energy for storm, or perhaps it hadn't made any yet. Try turning on black sheep wall to see where the high templar come from, and whether rushing forces the AI to meld them early. My guess is that it has to do with either rushing, luck, or both.
yeah the key to beating 8 is to have a lot of hydras and overlords. the first time i played it i beat it with trouble, but the second time i had a harder time despite destroying both bases on my side of the sea because I kept the hydra count down

i beat it just now in 25 min, the trick is just get ultras i had about 6-8, and then 8 dark temps, have a defiler cast dark swarm so u can drop units, then tell everyone to attack the overmind, and while doing so, dark swarm it so units don't take as much damage. note, save the mission right before u do it. takes a little luck. btw i coulda done it faster by 5 min maybe, but i upgraded melee attack n armor all of the way
Careful use of Guardians and Hydralisks can literally win every Zerg mission. Get a huge economy going, build up a bunch of hydras backed up by six or so Guardians, and hit hard and fast.
i think that since she became a zerg she acquired the same desire of the first overmind of conquering everything. but to do so she first needed zeratul and raynor to destroy the UED and then she turned against them, because she knew they would stand in her way. that became clear after assault on korhal mission.
remeber that level back in the orginal Starcraft where zasz warns kerrigan to be careful,kerrigan says fuck off and at the end of the level you find out while kerrigans being raping tassadar's force zertual went and slew zasz while old kerrigan was'nt looking.Its this humlitiing deception that kerrigan wants revenge for.
The protoss are very advanced species and they are supposed to be very smart and have good eyes for tactics. The Brood War made them so stupid. The computer AI sucks so bad!
I had a lot of problems with this stage, so I emulated this tactic ("Don't attack the Terrans/Hydralisk-Only/Nydus-Channel-Attack"). The two Guardians were also vital. I ended up with 12:xx minutes remaining.
BTW, I thought that the Bonus Mission was unlocked completing the mission in 25 min. or less, not 20 min. Are you sure about the 20 thing?
he lost only because computer AI is so bad. If another human player played the protoss, the zerg base could have been completely annihilated. Seriously, that computer AI sucks... And I don't play any missions.
yea the ai is more of a training tool for those who want or need the training but i can swear to you there are people who cant even beat the computer. i know this one dude who had trouble completing the original starcraft terran campaign. in the last missions he kept running up the middle and then transporting to the ion cannon. needless to say he failed many times.

What's Kerrigan's problem anyway? What "revenge" is she talking about? Zeratul did nothing to her, expect trying to get his Matriarch back.
Actually, if it weren't for him, maybe the first Overmind would've never died, and Kerrigan won't be free.
Did I like, forget a cutscene or something?

i think that since she became a zerg she acquired the same desire of the first overmind of conquering everything. but to do so she first needed zeratul and raynor to destroy the UED and then she turned against them, because she knew they would stand in her way. that became clear after assault on korhal mission.

remeber that level back in the orginal Starcraft where zasz warns kerrigan to be careful,kerrigan says fuck off and at the end of the level you find out while kerrigans being raping tassadar's force zertual went and slew zasz while old kerrigan was'nt looking.Its this humlitiing deception that kerrigan wants revenge for.

He banished her from Shakuras and humiliated her on Char (in StarCraft 1).
Hardly justified reasons for revenge, but Kerrigan is pretty messed up at this point.

Wow.
This really helped me beat it. I used the same tactic you did.
I didn't do it as quick though. I had something like 12:30 left.
I didn't care for the speed run, so before attacking the main base I got 2 more guards and built up some more hydras.

The protoss are very advanced species and they are supposed to be very smart and have good eyes for tactics. The Brood War made them so stupid. The computer AI sucks so bad!

I had a lot of problems with this stage, so I emulated this tactic ("Don't attack the Terrans/Hydralisk-Only/Nydus-Channel-Attack"). The two Guardians were also vital. I ended up with 12:xx minutes remaining.
BTW, I thought that the Bonus Mission was unlocked completing the mission in 25 min. or less, not 20 min. Are you sure about the 20 thing?

It's 25, yeah. Beat the mission with at least 5 minutes remaining on the timer.

he lost only because computer AI is so bad. If another human player played the protoss, the zerg base could have been completely annihilated. Seriously, that computer AI sucks... And I don't play any missions.

yea the ai is more of a training tool for those who want or need the training but i can swear to you there are people who cant even beat the computer. i know this one dude who had trouble completing the original starcraft terran campaign. in the last missions he kept running up the middle and then transporting to the ion cannon. needless to say he failed many times.

the obvious ones, Siege Tanks w/ Wraiths and Science Vessels... OR Battlecruiser Beatdown. how... well if i said it then id take the fun out of it.

To access the Bonus Level, you must finish the mission before timer reaches 20:00, meaning 10 mins.

It was actually not done by me, but it says somewhere on speeddemosarchive that this is due to a glitch with the recording software.
