This happened in February not January of 2007, I lived on Scenic Ave. in Mexico. In January we had warm weather to such a degree my daffodil's were coming up. One of the snowiest weeks I've seen in a long, long time!
Thank you for posting, it is awesome to share with others!
I live in Oswego. I remember this storm all to well. Luckily I had just bought a plow truck in the fall before this winter. I've never been so happy to not have to shovel in my life. I would plow my driveway out, then drive about 20 minutes to my parents and plow them out. By the time I got home again I had to replow my driveway again then repeat this for two days non stop. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else though. The best part of this storm was getting on my snowmobile and legally drivi
A fellow Oswego County resident, I sometimes wonder what it would be like to live somewhere else. Honestly, as much as the snow can be an inconvenience, I would miss it too much. I'm thankful to live in such a wonderful, humbling, and beautiful place. Thanks for sharing this great video.
Everyone says they would love to live here, but the don't. I remember this like it was yesterday. It's amazing how small of an area it effects too. Syracuse, only 45 mins south east get barely any of it. I had to replace my front springs and the tire it popped after it snapped from the weight of the snow. Just got sick of clearing it off everyday and shoveling it out. Now I'm on the coast and missing home.
God Love you folks in Oswego, but you have to be frkn nutz to live there in the winter !!! I must say it would be incredible to see a snowstorm like that !!!!
i lived there during this and it was horrible lol now i live in Tampa Florida, but every day now i think about the weather in upstate ny and i miss it even the snow the snow
damn!!! i would love to live there!!! many people still don't believe so much snow falls up there but here it is!!! stone cold proof people!!! love the music by the way...
You have some great photos. I'm doing a speach next week about snow in Oswego. would it be possible to get a copy of some of these pics? Call me 315-436-0902 if you would. Al
That was truely a week to remember a whole week off of school and a whole week of shoveling.=] fun o man did it ever snow. people from oswego are eskamos and we made the colbert report too. I went to england and I told a guy where I was from and he had heard about the snow.
I live right in the middle of the area that got this storm. I have figured out that I shoveled about fifty tons of snow off my roof. I also snow-blowed more than two hundred tons of snow out of my long driveway. And I only missed one day of work during that time. That was because it took me eight hours to get home from work from Syracuse the night before!
I'm from Fulton (about ten miles south of Oswego) and I'm going to school in Buffalo. I helped dig them out of the October storm and then we had this one, so I don't think any amount of snow can rattle me anymore...
I thought the five feet of snow we got my freshman year in Oswego (Jan. 2004) was a lot...but this easily topped it. Who would have thought we'd get 3 snow days in 1 week? I remember the dining hall in my dorm being closed a couple days that week so I had to walk halfway across campus, dealing with blowing snow and constant winds
I'd love to live off the Great Lakes. All that snow would be awesome. There are people that always say they hate it, but I'd bet that there is allot of fun being had. I grew up in the North (not in a snowbelt) and found that snowstorms always brought out the best in people.
wow, that is amazing...i know ppl in buffalo, and they said theyd never seen anything like that in their lives...love the music too, where is it from?

I sure don't miss this. Snow is fun for the first couple of days until you realize it's not going away for awhile. Glad I live in Florida now.
