the extra energy to generate hydrogen is more than the energy the amount hydrogen can develop simple physics; the energy required to split H2O into H2 and O is greater than the energy produced by burning H2 with O.
When you put that outside instead of inside the exhaustpipe, does it get the maximum benefits then? The hot/cold principle creating north and south will not be so strong?

There is, inside the reactor, opposite flows.
Inlet is cold, outlet is hot.
North and south : not the big deal, it works.
