  • This could not have happened to a nicer country. The Japanese people are resilient and will overcome this disaster(s). Incidentally, Fukushima Dai-ichi plant was scheduled to be closed this year. Bad, bad timing.

  • The sad thing here is that more and more elderly people will engage in pornography. I hope one must find a solution to this problem especially the government of Japan.

  • This is really sad.

  • so they were told to gamble on an inherently currupt economy based on interest, and inflation that was destined to benefit a small rich group and rob the rest. in other worlds, japan's government is in on the scam as well.

  • i love japan, someone must take the leader position. If the japan community have a big gathering meeting with at least one family member, and they all talk about how to save money, or rather select a leader or a group of leader and let them take on the responsibility of finance. Then they will prosper.

  • I have noticed AlJazeera keeps negative views against Japan's economy. What's their intention? In reality banks didn't lose so much and there isn't much negative influence on Japan compare to other countries. Big M&A has been done again using strong Yen. And Japanese personal investors are buying stocks at low prices which foreign investors were forced to sell. The crisis can be a chance.

  • ah.. the shit hits the fan. Now we have to be careful where to put money.

  • japan crashed america's economy?????

  • It's not only Japan. The losses will be spread all over the World!

  • its called diversification!!!!... whats much worse is when you invest everything in your employer and lose your job and your retirement. quit blaming capitalism... the U.S. is not a true capitalist market it operates on the mafia business model and ponzi schemes. (government+corps+media)and for the love of god diversify your portfolio!! like the wu tang clan suggested on the chapelle show

  • Savings, Hard Assets, Stocks, IRAs, Social Security, Job Skills, Rebates, Real Estate - Repeat!

  • It's not capitalist anymore lol. Barack Obama gave stimulus, doesn't that make it a socialist?

  • it's unfortunate that they're feeling the crunch. however the way the report emphasizes how sad it is that the workers can't have cars anymore is silly. due to the extensive, convenient public transit system ih japan, it's no hardship not to have a car. most japanese don't, there's no need. during typhoon season it's far safer to catch a train than drive anywhere! as for cycling, i commuted by bike there for years and it was a pleasure. better for everyone's future and health if we stop driving!

  • did you live in a rural area? outside the big cities, there is no public transportation.

  • When social programs try to invest into capitalist systems they got burned. This is a shame. These financial derivatives bring great shame and failure to the allure of a real free market capitalist system.

  • you fool, the insane capitalists destroyed these social programs. who's the victim and who was the predator???

  • you're a moron if you think japan is a communist country. its been covering america's dumb greedy capitalist system for decades. idiot.

  • your the moron if you think marx is your god,

    get a life
