@99Reneez I used to live up north & i was shocked when i moved to SC & they didn't have slams at school. So i went to my teacher & got Friday Poetry started. Then i went to my principal & asked him about it when i was a senior. We started having them two Fridays a month & he says they'll continue them from now on. So if you want a poetry outlet or artistry outlet then you should probably start small like in you classroom or wherever then move it on to something slightly bigger. Just a suggestion

You people are a bunch of idiots. First of all, I am 100% white and I find Urban Poetry really enlightening. It isn't rap, nor is it textbook poetry. It is called SPOKEN WORD, or Urban Poetry. It evokes emotion, and really allows black people to show the world that they are indeed intelligent and productive people. I'd rather see black people make it on the stage doing this then rapping about "drugs and ho's".
