Remember the DC final boss? Started out with a weakling you defeat easily and you think "This is over? Woah, all that minecarts and whatnot just for this kind of boss?" Then pops the real mofo, usually around the time this music picks up in its intensity.
Lol, no one remembers the complete fucking garbage games that came out around the time of this game. People only remember the great ones, I'd wager the ratio of shit games to great is about the same then as it is now. Shaq Fu came out the same year as DKC. I mean look at some gems from now, Trine, Bastion, minecraft. Sure theyre not as massively popular as COD, but theyre still there, available. So stop yo bitchin and enjoy the games.

The best game of the 21st century is DK Country Returns since it has that aspect of new and mostly classic gameplay giving you that 90's feeling. DK Country was an instant classic. I was born a few years after it but I knew someone with a SNES and I played this game every time I could. You can't beat the music from the 90's. The gaming generation of today is like the 90's music. By that I mean it is total bullshit.

I miss the old days like this. Nowadays kids only worry about graphics and online multiplayer and competing. Games like this were the most amazing things ever, since they had you working together and they were original and the soundtracks were just amazing. I was 6yrs old when i finally passed the boss(after about 60 failed attempts) and finished the game, i was jumping on my bed and screamed like crazy! The game was somehow ultra-hard back then, and still is tough to beat compared to some modern games of today :)

I miss the old days like this. Nowadays kids only worry about graphics and online multiplayer and competing. Games like this were the most amazing things ever, since they had you working together and they were original and the soundtracks were just amazing. Sure, the graphics weren't the greatest, but who cares? The new generation is bullshit, I wish we still had games like this.

@DarkSonadow actually when people first saw DKC,s graphics there minds were blown. everything on the snes up till then was pixels and not computer generated images like they had in DKC. but yeah i see your point. i feel sorry for kids these days being raised on COD and doritoes.

@DarkSonadow if you go to flash sites such as miniclips and newgrounds, they have mini flash games that are really really fun. Try playing a game called "Commando 2"
its really fun. Also try some of the mario flash games, and the sonic flash games are even better!

I myself have never beaten any Donkey Kong game no joke I was at K-Rool IN DK64 and the only other one I have is DKCR I really should beat those...I only heard this song cause NCS did an LP of this game and it started kinda cruddy imo but when the upbeat kicked in I was like holy shit must get song.

I was 6yrs old when i finally passed the boss(after about 60 failed attempts) and finished the game, i was jumping on my bed and screamed like crazy! The game was somehow ultra-hard back then, and still is tough to beat compared to some modern games of today :)

@Dorkus89Malorkus It's just nostalgia, i sometimes think that, but i remeber how fucking hot the room got because of your body temperatures + the arcades were like engines, at least 360 K, it was crazy. You also couldn't play because your hands were sweaty, and it sometimes got low on oxygen as the air was full of carbon dioxide from all of you breathing.
