I had the pleasure of becoming friends with Stirling Silliphant when he lived in Bangkok. He would write while listening to Frank Sinatra records really loud. Great stories of taking kung fu lessons from Bruce Lee and hanging with William Holden who was best man at his wedding. The stories just kept getting better. For an Alfred Hitchcock Presents episode Alfred Hitchcock telling him he needed not several lines but an inch and an half of dialogue. Magnum Force, Towering Inferno, 77 Sunset Strip

@toddsmitts they didn't release the movie in the south. the movie was shot cheaply enough that they didn't have to. still won the oscar though. =p

Sidney Poitier should've won the oscar, not Rod Steiger. Poitier is clearly the better actor by miles.

@DCAUFan I like Poitier but very few actors were as good as Rod Steiger. Steiger deserved the award.

Hey there.The film is great. It has its action packed moments and plenty of laugh-out loud moments. I just saw the movie at exclusive-movies.co899m(delete 899). The actors seem to be having fun in their roles. The film moves in an almost self-parodying way. Tina Fey looks like shes having a terrific time.Overall rating 9/10.
