I saw her live at Rakkasah that year and still enjoying looking at this video from time to time...excellent choreography and I love the music!! Nice work Asharah, looking fwd to see what you are going to do this fall.
this is awesome. totaly not what you think of when you think "asharah" and yet it is totally amazing. so many TF dancers can only dance one way -- this is why she is my absolute FAVE!
OMG, I must have been living under a rock for not ever hearing of this woman! She is effing amazing and has such great technique! Definitely my new favorite!
Onitsuka, suppose you look at it this way, Asharah is best known for her locking fusion technique and ability. Its a great display of her versatility and talent to do the "circus" style :)
Why is almost every tribal dancer doing this circus style now? I dont know hwo to call it but I guees, you kno what I mean..The Indigo started it and now everyone is doing it....Dont know what to think about it...
Hi... it's actually a Romany (Gypsy) fusion piece, and has nothing to do with the circus. I have always loved Romany music, particularly that of Eastern Europe and Turkey, and this song makes me incredibly happy, and so, I danced to it.
Oh man, now i realize how negative my message sounds. Its definitely not!I love it!But its just weird for me as European.I mean, we hear this mmusic only at like traditional occassions but we would never think about dancing to it.I guess its because our grandmas listen to this"folk" music and we think its"uncool"in some sort of way.Its hard to describe. But i hope you can follow me at least a bit.Its inovative and new.But also nice.Thats why its called fusion..ist a mix of many different styles...
The whole thing was great - but I especially love the routine with the zills at the end. I envy anyone who can keep up that fast of a dance and the zills. I still haven't picked that up!
Wow. I've never seen your performances before and its a lot more like what I'm familiar with, but so different at the same time. Your style is graceful and powerful at the same time, I love it. Brilliant!
amazing music choices!
