So apparently he was the Loblaws spokesman years before he started pitching Priceline.

In the 1970s he routinely appeared in commercials broadcast in British Columbia for another grocery chain - though I can't remember now if it was Overwaitea, Super Valu, or perhaps even Woodwards' Food Floor.
