  • amazingly when i got my kit, the clutch was seised in the engaged position. with wiggling stuff like MAD i managed to unseise it but my "push rod" still will not move... at all, i can take it out entirely, and put it back in... but it does nothing to the clutch when "pushed" because it wont even move. any tips?

  • You are very mechanically knowledgeable:)

  • I am basically finished with assembling my kit, but I am having this problem with my clutch maybe? When I try to move my bike even with the clutch pulled, my bike doesn't move! Is there any advice you can give me on this? Thanks

  • @thabitpulak Take it you mean the back wheel won't rotate, assuming it's not jammed then the fault is likely a badly adjusted clutch, take off the case where the lever is and make sure the pushrod is there and moving freely inside, pull the bar lever and you should get a good throw on the engine lever, if not adjust the cable, if you do then adjust the clutch free play as per my video on clutch adjustment, hope this helps some

  • @spidiq8 Thanks for that reply. So basically, when the clutch is pulled in ALL the way, only then the bicycle will move, right? Because I noted that my clutch wire pulled the clutch maybe 1/2 of the way, so maybe I need to tighten it? But if thats the case, wont the clutch wire get damaged from such high stress?? I am worried it will rip! Is the clutch wire under high tension in your bike?

  • can you PLEASE help me with the clutch?

  • @789mopedman What's wrong with it?

  • i cant get it to work smoothly, when i hook it up its either too tight and it is almost impossible to pull, or its too loose and wont actually pu;; the clutch in.

  • @789mopedman I would say check the cable routing first to make sure there are no sharp angles and bends, make sure the cable is not dragging in the outer sheath too.

There should be some tension when you disengage the clutch but it shouldn't be too stiff, try moving the lever on the engine housing by hand, it should be possible to push it open, if this is stiff, take off the clutch housing cover and check the eccentric cam is bearing correctly on the pushrod and that it's greased and both move

  • @spidiq8, should the lever on the engine be stiff? i can push it put not easily.

  • @789mopedman Yes, it should be very stiff to push by hand but just manageable, it should pull with the lever smoothly but be quite firm

  • Nice video

  • cant wait to see the end of this and see you start it up and give it a good riding review like you did with the xy125gy

  • Be glad to do just that, as soon as the snow and frost dissapears :)

  • yeah no kidding, only today the snow went, finally got a ride out on my ol xy125gy =]
