A bird can't hurt you? Some of the lorikeets you can go in and feed at zoos and wildlife attractions are SO mean and agressive and bite so hard they draw blood. I had a parrot try to bite my nose at a pet expo and I've heard their beaks are so strong, they can break a broomstick in half if they want too; so just imagine what one could do to a finger. So a bird CAN hurt you.
