Brad is such a genius song writer. From the first lines "Stolen from an African land..." he seems to be describing a slave being snatched away. Then he goes "The bars are always open" which seems to be just talking about bars or pubs where people drink but I noticed it may have a double meaning. Bars are what keep you enslaved in a jail cell or cage (like slaves from Africa would have been) His lyrics seem simple but they are actually fucking ingenious
