@doubledoubleswifty Oh,thank you very much for your kind reply. Since my fist visit to H.K in 1989, every visits had brought us so many satisfactions in every respects of this city. I and my fellows always look back to the memories of H.K with happy feelings. Unfotunetly in these few years,I coundn't have the chance to go to there,
but I am looking for taking get on the lovely Star Ferry some day. Thank you again for your kindness.
HK is the most amazing place I ever visited. If you ever get a chance take the Star ferry to Kowloon and back, just for the view of the skyline lit up with tall buildings. V. beautiful city.
No, the Star ferry service is still there, but the old Central pier has been demolished to make way for a road....and has been replaced by a joke of a building.
before, i talked to my cousin about the issue on the star ferry, i was totally oppose to the government.
but after talking to him, he taught me a very good lesson. "How could human move forward if we have to keep all the old stuff?" havent talked to him for 2 yrs but he became more mature than 2 yrs ago...
dude, its not just about keeping old stuff. Have you seen what a horrible building we have replaced it with? It is tasteless 'Fake' architecture by copying (very badly) edwardian details. Out of place, Out of scale. Makes me sick and angry.
Unfortunately these idiots in our government make the decisions and they will not listen to the people. Just like how we are losing our Street markets, a significant physical piece of Hong Kong's history has been replaced by fake 'Disney style' Heritage.
I love this. I was thinking to take video of the star ferry for a mth. Too busy. When I have time this week, I can't find my dv and dc. What has happened? But your video is good enough.
can you tell me how much fees is a one way ticket now ?

@spudmaster
YOU ARE QUITE RIGHT!
I THINK THE ARCHITECTS WHO DESIGNED THE FACADE OF THE OLD STAR FERRY WOULD TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU!
