To be honest, this little film 'POE' looks better than The Raven.... The film releases in May right after the release of Cusack's film. I found a link to the new film Poe below.
@Abehorror Thank you for uploading this great series! I'd never seen the episodes before, and this is my favorite so far. Perfect casting for Poe, a legendary Master of Horror.
this is the second time Jeffery Combs has portrayed an historical author. the first in Necronomicon in which he played H.P Lovecraft and now Poe in this amazing film. He is truly an underrated actor.
I remember in my literature class in college, we read this story by Edgar Allen Poe and watching this, everyone in the room felt completely sick after watching that scene where Sissy coughs up the blood all over. This story was absolutely terrifying but brilliant horror story. :)
@shogunly2 Obviously you wouldn't know a good movie from a piece of SHIT! This movie is an amazing movie and it is meant for people who aren't FUCKING RETARTED LIKE YOU!!!
@rasputionify Pluto was a lady cat and she had a thing for sleeping on Virginia, lol. As for the chainsaw massacre tag , it was probably a left over tag from "The Damned Thing" episode.
omg my fave part was when they found the body but it was the cat crying out like a woman..wat a materpiece :D ...and i kept replaying the ax to the face part :3 hehe
While most of the MASTERS OF HORROR series is generic at best, Stuart Gordon's THE BLACK CAT episode is really the gem of this series! It's amazing episode that really brings be back to the classic Roger Corman-Vincent Price films of the 1960s, back when horror films exuded the word "class."
I also had the great pleasure to see the play NEVERMORE, brought to you by the same team of this film, on stage in LA. It was awesomeness!

But this time, he didn't kill Pluto because he was drunk, he killed him because he was causing so much trouble, and hurt the bird

That's weird, I don't remember reading Poe was a self-centered, arrogant asshole. Guess it's just me.

My heart flutters when she begins to sing Thomas Moores' poem.
It is the best scene in this episode, something so elegant and beautiful turns to horrific and terrifying.
