1) there is no such thing as a center of a sphere (except a the point in the interior of a sphere which is equally distant from every point on the surface).
but since the earth is NOT a sphere (a perfect shape), but a spheroid, whose shape bulges in the equatorial zone, the true "centerS" of the surface of such an object would be found in the poles, that is, the North Pole and the South Pole.

In the Quran, numerous mentions of the creation of day and night, however, by contrast only when earth gets first created is that day-night succession referred to as a RAPID SUCCESSION. Implying a shorter day!

@Ishaq91 The proper name for the shape of the Earth is geoid. A geoid is an irregular version of the reference ellipsoid. It still has a unbounded surface, like a sphere, and the same applies. is 1.618, the divine ratio.
And if you put a golden rectangle over a traditional 2D map of the world, you would find that Mecca is located at the golden mean point.
Several spots can be at the longitudinal golden mean, and several at the latitudinal.
But, the two lines meet in Mecca.

Therefore if these two meridians are relevant then any point along those meridians must be significant.
