@jmg1957 Thats one hell of a pit. So its pretty large I'm guessing? I was planning on making a 4 foot wide pit maybe a foot deep to fire my pipes but would the pit get hot enough?
@albertochoa2006 ...2 ft square...2 foot deep...i fire up to 50 pipes at a time...i also use alot of pine cones..during the firing...sometimes i fire 4 or 5 ...it depends...the coals from the fire stay hot for a long time ...i try to keep the fire going for aleast 4 to 6 hours...jim
