Ever since she was diagnosed with RSD her career has gone down, it's so sad she deserves so much more for how talented she is!

@iaintgonletup - I think b/c of her look, Paula was always sort-of "claimed" by black people. I, for one, basically thought she was black, or biracial (black & white)- until I learned otherwise.

There are a lot of black & mixed girls who look like Paula- esp. in places like L.A.

Her 1st single, "Knocked Out" was played more on "black" radio than pop radio. The video was in heavy rotation on BET. I think Paula's "handlers" recognized her urban appeal, & set out to establish her in that market.
