Love the Lands of Lore series. Well, I would love the 3rd but unfortunately never found it for sale. The first two were great though (as you already know)
As for DOSbox, some games do that when recorded. A simple work around is to run the game in Direct3D in the .conf file, and record it with FRAPs. Your file will be slightly bigger and require compression, but it will record audio. I had to do it once.
